Reviews
The self check-in is convenient but I prefer the traditional methods via front desk staff and get a hardcopy card. As now we 100% rely on the phone which might be a bit risky. If you lose your phone in any accidents, how can you manage to come in?
The train station is literaly 20 meters away with was the most important thing to me for an extremely early morning.
The one thing that is not good is the bathroom with a door that isn't really a door and a wall that is just sanded glass. Please consider some people travel with companions they are not that close with.
The self-service check-in process was easy, and access details were sent shortly before check-in time. However, several guests, including us, were initially confused about how to enter. The access link from the email needs to be slid in front of the door until a green light appears. The same method applies to the room door using a different access link.
We booked a “Mini Room” through Agoda under Hotel Fred, but were unexpectedly assigned to Fred Guest House, located a few hundred meters away. This was disappointing, as we deliberately chose a hotel rather than a guest house. We contacted Agoda before arrival but did not receive a response.
The room and bathroom were very small. The bed and pillows were thin, and the central heating made the room feel too warm at times. There was a small fan but no air conditioning. The shower was separated only by a curtain, causing water to spill onto the bathroom floor and making it slippery. For two people, the room felt very cramped and would be more suitable for a solo traveler.
The guest house provides towels, refillable body soap and shampoo, two bottles of drinking water, and complimentary tea and coffee on the ground floor.
I loved the location as it was a one minute walk to the bus/tram/train station. There was also a grocery store next door that offers amazing meals. Restaurants are also close by but to save money only ate at a couple which were good.
Was not noisy at all when windows were closed.
This is a must stay if you aren't looking for a luxury hotel. I only used the room to shower and sleep so it didn't matter how small it was or that I slept on a twin bed.
The initial self check in and getting your mobile key was a little tricky but I figured it out quickly. Also, you can check in at the main hotel (a one minute walk away) and get a physical key if you prefer.
Easily accessible to Bus & Train station
