Kijiji Beach Resort in Dar es Salaam

We stayed at Kajiji Beach Resort from the evening of the 21st Dec to the morning of 27th December. We arrived late on the 21st so went straight to our room, lovely air conditioned and clean Linen. We went to the dinning area the following morning and sadly walked past a resort that was dirty with plastic cups bottles paper napkins and bottles scattered all over. We had our breakfast, and returned to our room. Room service was very slow only getting done around 10am. We decided to take a walk down the beach, which was full of rubbish which we also found disappointing. In the afternoon around 2pm we decided to go for lunch, we ordered our drinks which took about 15 mins to arrive fish and chips and calamari and chips, which took 1 hour to arrive. The resort was not busy so they had no excuse for being busy or over worked. But very tasty when eventually it arrived. The next day we did virtually the same and this time ordered king prawns and chips and fish and chips when eventually it arrive the prawns were not king prawns and had not been cleaned properly we found the service to be very slow. The staff were very friendly We feel that on the web site it should be stipulated that the locals frequent the resort and this will give the foreign visitors the option to book or not to book at the resort, as the local have no respect for their local resorts. The biggest advantages of this resort are the food, the beach, and the staff. The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. The only issues I had were with the AC remote, which kept breaking, and the drain in the shower, which was clogged (but it was fixed quickly). The swimming pool wasn’t very clean, so I didn’t use it. The spa is cheap but not really worth a visit, I paid for a 1-hour massage and got only 40 minutes. Overall, I can recommend this place, especially because it’s very quiet and peaceful.

Rooms are so good, and having a dressing room, bathrooms are also really good.
Beds are also so comfortable with a mosquito net, WIFI is perfect.
Restaurant food is good with a moderate pricing, and bar is also excellent.
There are so friendly rabbits roaming inside the hotel complex, but they get scared so easily.
Water in the pool is always foggy, so I could not swim in it.
Swimming in the ocean was a really good experience, but you cannot swim before 2:00 or 3:00 PM when the tide becomes high
Hotel location is far away from the city.

Beautiful location in Dar Es Salaam. This is the first place I stayed & would highly recommend for a beach resort in a city location. Staff were really lovely, friendly and very helpful. When you walk along the beach here you can forget you are in a city

Very delicious Food and the Service is great. The Place is very nice. Seaview and a pool is there, too.
