Yassine gets a particular mention for being the guy that goes above and beyond, and gets special requests sorted.

Baraza was pure magic. Our room was a stunning, private haven. The food was delicious at every meal. The beach and gardens are breathtakingly beautiful. And the staff? The kindest, friendliest people who made us feel so special. Everything was simply wonderful. We can't wait to return

We had a most wonderful 3 days here. The accommodation was fantastic and I would highly recommend one of the villas on the sea front with the private sitting area. The room was beautiful with all the first class facilities you would expect. The purge pool was a great way to start the pool...I cannot believe that someone said it was too cold...what do they expect from a plunge pool! The view from our villa and from our loungers was beautiful...right across the reef and it was lovely to see people walking on it at low tide. Once again, I cannot believe that someone said the view is not as good at low tide!!! - have they never been in a tidal resort? Of course this resort does suffer from being on the east coast so loses the sun relatively early and you do not get the brilliant sunsets of a west facing resort, but the sunrises are pretty special The food was excellent, superb buffet breakfast and a good variation of evening meals including beach beach barbecues etc. The wine list was full of excellent south african wine and the cocktail list was eclectic and excellent. The spa was wonderful. Both my wife and I had massages and also took advantage of the gym and secluded pool at the spa. The snorkelling trip was great as were the other watersport facilities ...it was good to have the kayaking and SUPB included. All the staff were wonderful and went out of their way to please Overall a marvellous end to our EAstAfrican trip. Highly recommended!!!

A beautiful and luxurious space to relax & unwind after two weeks of travelling on safari in Kenya & Tanzania. There is plenty of space in both the individual rooms and public spaces. A beautiful setting amongst the mature palm trees. The staff are excellent; lots of warm smiles and attentive service. Lots of interesting food choices with excellent use of local spices and served in different locations within the hotel grounds. A beautiful 25m swimming pool a short distance from the beach. Diving, Hobie Cat sailing available too. We didn’t use the spa but the facilities looked sumptuous. The rooms and public spaces are maintained to a very high standard. We would love to return.

What an incredible stay at Barazar Zanzibar. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave you are immersed in luxury and decadence on another level. We had a two bedroom villa which was huge. The en-suite to the master bedroom was colossal and luxurious each villa has its own plunge pool, small kitchen, lounge, all of which are enormous. You are on a small complex here with 30 villas so meals tend to be with your fellow residents . Every other day they have a theme night and the food was prepared by a Spanish chef which was out of this world . This is the ultimate ‘chill-out’ resort

Spent seven nights here following a safari in Kenya. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were totally looked after by the amazing team. Every single person took it upon themselves to ensure we had everything we wanted to make this such a memorable trip. The resort was only 60% full when we stayed so there were no issues with sun beds either on the beach or around the pool. The bar team constantly came around asking if we would like drinks and food. The Villas are just huge, well maintained and provide you with everything you need. The beds are huge and very, very comfortable to help with a good night's sleep. The food in the resort was first class. Breakfast and lunch are buffet style and dinner switches between buffet and 5-course ala carte. Buffet choice differed daily so no repetition. The beach was lovely and the security team prevented anyone walking along trying to sell things. We did two trips from the hotel, firstly to Stone Town which was great tour and there is lots to see. Secondly we did a morning snorkelling trip, this was excellent too, there are loads of amazing fish and coral reefs to see. A wonderful, wonderful place, just sorry we had to leave!
