Excellent customer service from start to finish—friendly, attentive staff and quick problem resolution. Our original room had a stale smell, and washcloths were unavailable with toiletries not replenished unless requested. We had to switch rooms, after which room service became available, but we weren’t initially aware of it; a 24-hour room service or snack option would be appreciated. Areas for improvement: address room odor, ensure daily replenishment of essentials, improve housekeeping consistency, and clearly communicate room service availability. There should be a non smoking area within the resort for people with health conditions. Overall, a solid stay with good value, clean rooms, and solid amenities. Absolutely fantastic holiday, the hotel is amazing, right on the beach but with plenty of pools too. The restaurants were all great, such a good selection. Our room was fabulous with the comfiest bed. The staff could not do enough for you and always happy and smiling. We were chilled right from the minute we got there to the minute we left. Such a memorable holiday for us celebrating a big birthday, we got champagne and a cake and they made it so special. We would definitely return and would 100% recommend to anyone wanting the most chilled out holiday ever, thank you to everyone at Kiwengwa Beach Resort for 2 weeks in paradise!

Positives: The hotel area is huge, boasts very good facilities, has 3 separate pools and a beautiful beach area thus avoiding overcrowded areas. Negatives: Considering that this is a 5 star hotel, the rooms smelt of mould, electricity circuits had issues with lights flickering and lights not working. Room finishing was very poor. Having stayed at Tanzania mainland in Serengeti, I felt that accommodation standards in the National parks are of higher standard that this resort. Also, on a particular day we had drilling works on top of our room which is not ideal if you are trying to rest. Take note of the beach tide which does not help if you strictly want to swim in the beach only.

Quiet beach, satisfactory.

The hotel is next to the beach, the beach is beautiful with white sand, and the hotel is quite large. The environment is OK, there are two bedside restaurants, one buffet restaurant that I didn't try and it looked average, and the other a la carte restaurant. It was also average. The room was normal and not luxurious, and there was nothing to see near the hotel. Stay here to enjoy the beach, don't expect as many shops as in Stone Town

This is a beautiful resort. The staff were incredibly kind and always welcome you with a smile. They have snacks and coffee/tea time throughout the day and the dinner buffets were fantastic. There is also a lot of activities like water aerobics, stretching, volleyball.
The only downside: people are allowed to smoke everywhere, on the beach, by the pool, the lobby, the chill areas. It’s really gross and very unhealthy for those who do not smoke.

The overall experience is good, very suitable for bringing children together, you can have fun in the hotel

I absolutely loved the experience at Kiwengwa Beach Resort. The resort is beautiful, the staff is friendly, the food was good, the pizza was the best & the Pina Colada is a must try. They had entertainment every evening, which was so much fun but so relaxing at the same time. And if you want to relax & just lay in the sun on the beach, the resort was 20 steps away from the beach. I loved being so close to the ocean.
