Fantastic boutique hotel Menu was changed each day Far too much to eat 3 coarses for breakfast 4 coarses for lunch 5 coarses for dinner Chef will almost cook you what you like Service impeccable Rooms are huge with great views Gym was small but had enough to combat the 36 coarses of food Snorkling trip was great lots of corals and fish Only negative was the sewage slick that came into the ocean on a couple of occasions I like to swim every morning but this wasn’t possible had to use the pool Probably not directly from the hotel but did spoil that part a little the smell wasn’t great and it was about 350 yards long on about 2 out of 7 days stayed All of the team were brilliant and couldn’t do enough for you A little gem very quite probably 3-4 nights is enough but was luxury in abundance

What a special place this was for our visit to Zanzibar. Zawadi brought us joy and comfort each and every moment. The meals served were creative yet authentic to the local and seasonal sources. Every bite was blissful especially their decadent desserts. Most of all, the staff made you feel so welcomed and at home. Every single interaction with them was personal. Personal for us and personal for them. It's challenging to find such hospitality in our modern world and western ways. Leave your troubles behind and escape into luxury and comfort. Beautiful location on this island staffed with beautiful souls.

The whole experience was wonderful - property was immaculate and well kept, room was very comfortable. The food was excellent in quality and variety with freshness from onsite garden. . Staff and management were very professional and friendly and service was top notch. The atmosphere made it a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The place is amazing and in my opinion almost incomparable on the island. Super quite, super clean, great service, great food, I won’t expect nothing more then this.

My wife and I stayed at Zawadi for 5 nights from the 25th-30th November this year and it was nothing short of spectacular. The villa was amazing, everything looked and felt new and it was always kept immaculately clean. The staff are amazing, eveyone knew our names and impressively quickly knew our preferences for food and drinks - Bernard, innocent, Ally, Raza and everyone else we met really made our stay special. The food is unbelievable, high end fine dining and surely chasing a Michelin star. The lunch and dinner menus changed daily and I only wish I could have eaten more! If you are looking for somewhere to stay I cannot recommend Zawadi enough, our only mistake - is that we didn’t stay longer. We will return. Stuart & Caroline

From the moment you walk in until your tearful departure, it's the experience of a lifetime. We had an incredible honeymoon. 7 nights of total bliss, relaxation, food, drink, smiles, laughs, swims, naps and cocktails. Definitely the best holiday experience we've ever had. We will be back. Special shout out to Alli, Innocent, Peter, Bernard, Hamad, Raza, Mabula, Isaac, Dez and all the fantastic chefs and housekeeping team for always making sure we felt so welcome, so entertained and so fed!

Zawadi Hotel Resort is a magical place to relax and enjoy the beautiful views. The service was more than excellent and the place was super clean. We want to say thank you so much for your amability and patience.

We recently stayed here for our honeymoon after the first part of our safari. Upon arrival we were greeted with coconuts and friendly staff members. The resort is intimate in that there are only a few villas, so this is the place to come and unwind and relax in the company of whoever you come with. The grounds of the hotel are immaculate and so picturesque. The villas itself are so beautiful. The villa patio overlooking the ocean and the small plunge pool is perfect. Also you can book snorkeling with the front desk! Just as most of Zanzibar, the tides are very extreme so the low tide has the water out almost a mile out. The small cove of the beach is nice but not necessarily for swimming. But definitely the snorkeling included with the hotel stay was great! The food at this resort was very good. It seems like the chef really cared to create a spectacular menu. Every meal is multi course. The staff really go above and beyond for you. Bernard really wanted to ensure we had the best meal experiences, especially as my husband does not drink alcohol and always tried to find something new for him to drink (he didn't want us having the same mocktail). Drinks may be slower to arrive but its because every ingredient is fresh. The staff will go and juice every fruit in your drink. Time is meant to be slower here so don't worry that is part of the vibe. We felt like every staff member genuinely wanted us to have the best experience and we can say the service was excellent. What a great stay.

Celebrating a Happy Birthday and 25 yr Anniversary at Zawadi Hotel, exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail, friendly and accommodating staff, wonderful food, beautiful sites and calming location made it very special. Zanzibar is magical as is the Zawadi Hotel. Andrew and Janet

The hotel has a great view and is very quiet. The food and facilities are satisfactory.
