Zuri is not just a resort, it’s an experience that stays with you long after you leave! This was our third stay at this resort. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel like family, and that is entirely down to the incredible people who run this place. Hotel Manager Romano sets the tone for everything. His warmth, attention to detail, and the genuine care he puts into our stay is shown in every single interaction. He is truly what makes Zuri special. The food was absolutely incredible. Chef Yussuf and Chef Darsan & Barilla are seriously talented. Every meal was a highlight of our day! Creative, fresh, and full of flavor. And the team are all amazing! Prince, Eric, Abu Malik, and EVO 😍 These guys put a smile on our face every single day. Nothing was ever too much, and they always went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. We were spoiled in the most beautiful way. We’ll definitely keep coming back, Zuri is our Zanzibar home 🌴❤️✨

It’s with a heavy heart that we leave tomorrow. Zuri Zanzibar is quite simply one of the most special places we have ever had the privilege of staying. The location is stunning — and the days here have a beautiful rhythm to them. Mornings begin with fantastic yoga, the perfect way to ease into the day, before the sundowners on the beach each evening bring everything full circle. The evening entertainment is, without exaggeration, the best we have ever seen anywhere in the world. The Freedom Acrobats, resident DJs, live singers — the energy is electric yet perfectly in tune with the relaxed, chilled vibe of the resort. The food is phenomenal. The Executive Chef — a wonderfully chatty young man — is clearly destined for greatness. Every meal feels considered and crafted with real passion. What makes Zuri truly stand out, though, is its people. Every single member of the team is warm, welcoming, and genuinely goes above and beyond. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The rooms are beautiful, and it’s clear that sustainability sits at the heart of everything this hotel does — which makes loving it feel even better. If you’re considering Zuri Zanzibar, stop considering and just book it. You won’t regret a single moment. ✨

Beautiful hotel, all the facilities are very good, but the beach access is the best part—plenty of space. The staff is super friendly.

We absolutely loved our stay at Zuri Zanzibar. The bungalows were a wonderful surprise — beautifully designed, set in the middle of lush greenery, and offering great privacy. The housekeeping was excellent, and everything was always spotless. The food was also fantastic; we dined at Maisha every night and the chef’s daily suggestions were consistently amazing. The staff were friendly, warm and always willing to help. At one point my husband had a stomach issue, and it was a relief to know that the hotel has a doctor available on-site until 10 p.m. The beach is truly beautiful, with turquoise waters and fine white sand, perfect for long walks. The water was warm, clean, and very pleasant for swimming. One interesting detail is that the tide difference is quite small. There are many Masai vendors around, but they were always respectful and polite — we even enjoyed chatting with them and learning about their traditions. I highly recommend Zuri Zanzibar and would happily return without any hesitation.

My wife and I booked our honeymoon to Tanzania and started with a safari on the mainland. We ended our trip in Zanzibar and stayed at Zuri for 4 nights in a jacuzzi bungalow. We had the actual best time ever and Zuri was a magical place to stay. The beach and pool are top notch and the servers are so kind. Zuri has everything you could possible need. We paid for laundry service, we watched a movie from their many selections on DVDs, we got 90 minute massages that were so relaxing, and got to enjoy our jacuzzi with our suite. The food was top notch and the next we had during our whole trip. Yussuf from Upendo restaurant remembered us every time we ate dinner and breakfast there and made sure we were taken care of and had the best dining experience. Another highlight about this place is the magical eco friendly cooling system they had attaching to our bed. It kept us cool all night and I found myself wanting to buy one for my apartment back home. Would highly recommend this place! We are already talking about coming back for an anniversary trip.

This place will hold a special place in our hearts forever! I was sobbing as I was walking down to reception to leave and my husband was tearing up as well. We have travelled so many places all over the world and I have to say the staff here were some of the absolute nicest people we have ever met. Need to make special mention of Eric!!! He attended to us while we stayed in our suite and went above and beyond for us in every way! We were crying leaving mainly because we felt like we were now leaving a good friend!! He made our stay so special. Also want to mention Ben who was with us every morning, Yusef, one of the chefs and Hasan, who was the breakfast chef making us special eggs every morning! The resort is beautiful. We had plans to maybe go to stone town or take a boat to a different part of the island but we were so in love with Zuri we never wanted to leave. There were so many things to do that were included like daily yoga and workout twice a day, a garden spice tour on the grounds, movie nights, fire and Maasai shows during sunset and much more. We did the jacuzzi suite which was incredible and half board. We are drinkers and ordered bottles of wine at dinner and drinks during the sunset shows and felt the prices were very reasonable for a 5 star resort. We don’t eat lunch normally so we are happy with the half board choice! Thank you everyone!!! We are already planning our trip back for next year!
