Awful Location, Desperate to Charge for Everything, Useless Staff Who Turned up an Hour and Half Late to Cook our Christmas Lunch
Location
• The location could almost not be in a worst place, there is nothing in walking distance of interest or use, but what makes the where the place totally intolerable is that rubbish tips and packs of wild dogs surround the adjacent areas. Though there are motorbike taxi stands in the vicinity, because there are no main roads in the area there are no passing taxis, so if you decide to stay here I would say it is essential to have your own car especially if you are a family.
The Cleanliness of the Villa
• First of all part of subject line for this review the owners of this property look for anyway everyway to take money from their customers, the villa staff will not clean the villa, this includes changing the bed sheets, cleaning the swimming pool, etc. unless you are willing to pay in our case 800 THB a time which is approximately $25.00, this is the first time I have come across this when renting villas, we initially booked 2 days but on close inspection and seeing the state they left in we cancelled. What reflects the grasping nature of the owner is that there is nothing in the villa to enable the occupants to clean the villa them selves, i.e. no brush’s tea towels washing up liquid polish when I say NOTHING it is as in NOTHING
• There were thick layers of dust in many areas of the villa, cigarettes stubs in the swimming pool the Jacuzzi area of the villa on the roof flooded as soon as you switched it on.
• The swimming pool had a thick wide scum line all around
• The bathroom have an overpowering smell emanating from the cesspit, this is a major design fault due to the lack of S bends being incorporated into the build, it is to put it mildly revolting
The Staff
• The biggest let down of our entire stay was the pre-booked Christmas lunch chef turning up 90 minutes late, and the owner not answering their phone or replying to an email I sent asking for an explanation. No reasons were given just a please wait they will be there soon, we eventually cancelled and went out but really did ruin the day for us which was the whole reason why we booked the villa in the first place.
• I should have known what we were install for when I called the lady who opened the villa for us did not answer the phone when we tried to order some food on our first night.
• As soon as you enter the villa there is a large sign that greets you telling you in no uncertain terms that you will be thrown out of villa for breaching rules about noise, on the table again a long set of rules, it gives the villa a uncomfortable feel.
• The women when she left made no effort to show how us how to lock up, wireless passwords or how to use any thing in the villa
Amenities and facilities of the villa
• As previously mentioned nothing is provided to self clean the premises.
• Only the main doors open, the other 2 doors to the bedroom that faces the swimming pool is permanently locked
• Very old flat screen televisions
• No washing machines or even a clothes line to hang out washing to dry
• No coffee machine which is a first for a villa that’s costing in excess of $300.0 per day
• Though it claims to accommodate 10 people (which honestly I don’t see how), many items such as glasses there was a single item, or three of tumbler, and so on
• Basically everything is done on the cheap
• The single towels and the bed linen given are very worn and the towels being frayed whilst the bed linen had holes in it
Other observations
• Internet has to be signed into every time you want to go online the 6th Day it went off completely and did not go back on line until the day we left
• The phone line does not work
• You are limited to 65 units of electricity a day once you go over this amount you are threatened (in the house rules), of being cut off

Please do not consider. Location wise is deserted, no supermarket/restuarant within walking distance. Building was in desperate need of upgrading: pool was filthy with plant spores and insects as pump was not working, hot water of shower was intermittent, furniture were old and stained. Do note that there is NO housekeeping service, no complimentary coffee/tea despite what was listes in Agoda.The layout was a weird double storey with the stairs to the upper floor located at the back of the building and is NOT sheltered - so a disaster if it were to rain. On the upper floor, it is a supposed studio (1 bedroom plus 1 living room) but converted to a 2 bedroom, so the master room occupant needs to pass the living room 'bedroom' to get to the stairs. Very disappointing stay.
