Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort Hotel in Klong Muang

I had a mixed experience, but overall the hotel itself is fantastic. Here are the highlights:
1. Staff: Super friendly and attentive staff across the board, from reception to housekeeping.
2. Facilities: The entire property is very well-maintained.
3. Rooms: Extremely clean and comfortable.
4. Breakfast: The breakfast buffet is wonderful—great variety, high quality, and plenty of options.
5. Pool: A dream! The pool is huge, clean, and perfect for relaxing.
Location:
The hotel is located a bit further out, but there are several restaurants and beach bars within walking distance that are definitely worth a visit. However, if you want to go to Ao Nang or Krabi Town, you will need to rely on Grab or Bolt.
The Downside: Club Millésime Lounge
In my opinion, the value for money regarding the Club Millésime access is not right. Compared to Club Lounges in other hotels of the same category, this one doesn't quite measure up. The food selection is very limited. Furthermore, access for afternoon tea and evening cocktails is restricted to only 2 hours each. I personally don’t think the surcharge is worth it. Additionally, the location of the lounge within the hotel isn’t very appealing; it would be much nicer to have a view of the pool or the outdoors.
Summary: The hotel is great and I highly recommend it, but I would suggest skipping the Club Millésime upgrade.

This is a true resort experience! You can take a boat to Railay Beach for rock climbing or book a speedboat island hopping tour directly through the hotel. During the tour, you can jump into the ocean, and we even saw beautiful jellyfish and a stunning sunset. Alternatively, you can stay at the hotel and enjoy activities like swimming, sunbathing, table tennis, billiards, and golf. The hotel's environment is incredibly beautiful; just stepping onto the grounds is refreshing. We later realized that the highest room rate on December 31st included a New Year's Eve gala dinner, which featured a very lavish meal and fantastic song and dance performances! There were also countdown fireworks! The New Year's atmosphere was incredibly lively! I will definitely be back! Such a delightful hotel!

Sofitel Krabi is an absolutely amazing hotel — beautiful property, excellent location, and genuinely warm, attentive service throughout our stay. Everything felt well-managed and effortless, from check-in to the overall experience on the property. The atmosphere is relaxing yet premium, and it’s a perfect place to unwind as a couple.

Overall: amazing hotel, very good location, great service — we’d happily come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Krabi.

Sofitel is definately an amazing place to stay. All the staff at the hotel greet you with a smile & Thailand greeting . The hotel is very calming, the food is 5* + especially the White Lotus. The chefs are absolutely top class, we had a different meal every day that never disaapointed. The White Lotus Team & Mya Restuarant in particular ensure that all guests are treated personally , so that adds to the 5* treatment. The rooms are outdated for me, however, the hotel is actively in the middle of a refurbishmenr which is very much needed to keep up with the 5* hotel. The spa is absolutely amazing and they have promotions running which you should take full advantage off. The hotel is well located as only a taxi ride away from Ao Nang Beach night market. There are a few shops 5 minutes walk from the hotel, and a Seven Eleven supermarket that sells nearly anything you may have forgot or just some extras. The Gelato parlour inside the hotel is definately worth visiting, recommend several times to sample all the varied flavours available. Overall, an amazing stay

We had an amazing family stay. The staff are outstanding — very attentive, focused, and genuinely warm. Special thanks to Tom, who truly made our stay memorable.

The kids’ club is absolutely stunning, probably the best we’ve experienced. Our toddlers loved it. The pools are excellent, with a dedicated adults-only section, a family pool, and a kids’ pool — all very well designed.

The food was also excellent, with great variety and multiple restaurant options.

Overall, a wonderful family experience. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Krabi.

Lovely stay at the Sofitel Krabi. Many of the staff are amazing, Notably Luke the new Intern from Newcastle doing a great jol for a newbie. Pee another trainee giving great service at Breakfast and the pool diner. Sky for his amazing cocktails and always has the team laughing. Sem for being a great host at the pool bar and Bright who welcomed us on arrival after a long flight. Our favourite waitress Palmy was amazing at both breakfast and at the pool diner, always smiling and happy to help. She is a credit to your organisation. Finally to Focus helped us so much on the first night with ideas and suggestions for the week ahead.
Some good choices in the resort with the lunchtime diner offering the best options. Was hoping for a little more local dishes in the Thai but the Italian did a mean pizza and Porchetta.

Rooms were spacious very clean and great service from our brilliant housekeeper Lim who left us a lovely note and flowers each night. I would recommend getting a room with Club Milesime usage as it's a great team in there and happy hour is a nice relief after a hot day round the pool!

It's in a quiet spot with a few local residents in walking distance and I would certainly recommend the Grab app as the likes of Ao Nang is only 20 mins away if you fancy something a bit livelier with the night market and music bars like the Full Moon Bar
The GM seemed to be everywhere keeping everyone happy and a credit to his organisation and has built was appears to be a happy, efficient and customer focussed team.

Our only point is that the bathrooms are a bit outdated, and the shower pressure isn’t very good.

The place was beautiful. They could have provided more activities though within the hotel to keep guests occupied. Otherwise, the place was like stepping into a page written by Somerset Maugham. Transport is not as convenient but grab is available at certain times.
