The only sad part was the amount jelly fish.
Apart from that, the service was good.
Be aware of taxi boats, in Krabi, they are looking to rip of their customers.
Out of 5 destinations visited, Krabi was the worst for long tail boat rip taxi rip offs.
Facilities are okay and good enough.
Food is okay but we opted to eat out at nearby restaurants.
ROOMS 4/5: The bungalos were nice. Keep in mind two things. 1. Some are situated by washrooms for the pool. Request to not have them
2. Some of the bungalos are newly renovated. Requests them.
LOCATION 3/5: The views of the sea and mountains protruding are amazing. However Railay beach is over run by boats. Most of the swimming can happen only on the far ends. Also, given the remote location and accessibility of the hotel, prices are naturally higher. Not excessive, but I found that they are about twice the price.
STAFF 5/5: Amazing. So helpful and considerate.
CLEANLINESS 4/5: Im a little picky on this one.
NOTE TO THE MANAGEMENT: Those toilet seats just do not work. I read similar complaints from others. It's hard to sit on a moving target.
Room had a bathtub and sauna but sauna wasn't working though. It also had a balcony but the balcony was facing the resort inwards, so not much of a view
Absolutely amazing staff. They were really kind and helpful. It was pouring rain when we checked out and the reception staff handed us plastic raincoats to take with us!
Pool was the highlight although some boat had capsized and was blocking the view. Hope they clear it soon.
The hotel also had a cafe overlooking the ocean called Cafe Amazon. You can get some decent coffee and snacks over there
This is a sprawling resort with different types of rooms, ranging from chalets to villas. There are three pools and a restaurant.
The reception staff is welcoming and hospitable.
The restaurant staff are helpful and the breakfast spread is good. It also changes daily. Vegetarian options are available.
The rooms are well appointed.
Staff was extremely friendly and eager to help. Our air conditioning broke down one time and in 10 minutes someone was in our room to fix it. When we checked out, the hotel had a boat to take us to Ao Nam and took care of our luggage for us (we didn’t know so that was a pleasant surprise).
Breakfast was very tasty and the staff often did refills on the food. There is a station where a chef prepares eggs for you, scrambled, omelette etc.
Overall amazing experience.
