Wang Sai Resort in Haad Yao

I highly DO NOT RECOMEND This place was a disappointment. Service with a frown they are tired of tourists and their jobs maybe. Shower didn’t work when I arrived, the sink was clogged and they came to fix leaving hair and grey sludge strewn around the bathroom and didn’t bother to clean it. I ordered a bagel at the restaurant and sadly the cream cheese was rancid I complained and was yelled at by the reception that if their food made me sick it was my problem. 😡😢☹️☹️

I'll try to be constructive in this review… The resort matches the photos, the rooms are clean, and the pool is very pretty. However, some rooms don't have air conditioning, just a fan that circulates hot, humid air. Unfortunately, despite requesting a "nice location" during the booking process, we were placed opposite the scooter parking area (I'll let you imagine the view and the noise). The beach restaurant has a beautiful view and friendly staff, but the food is tasteless and questionable. The pool, a real plus for this establishment, is cleaned daily, which is a good point, apart from the rather heavy dose of chlorine that remains at the bottom of the pool because the water is so saturated. These are just details compared to the highlight of the trip… When we were leaving the hotel, we asked reception for a taxi back to the boat. They offered us a private taxi for 40% more than the price we'd paid on the way there. No problem, everyone's trying to make a profit… On the way there, we had a private van for 300 baht with a kind and careful driver, and on the way back, for 500 baht, we were treated to the back of a pickup truck, hastily converted into a makeshift seat with other hotel guests, protected by a small sheet of metal. But what could possibly go wrong? After half the journey went smoothly, a tropical downpour hit—the most violent of our trip, unfortunately. The result was undeniable: we all ended up soaked, luggage included. The swimsuits were fine, but the rest of the clothes, which would have to wait until we got back to Bangkok, worried me. As for my computer and camera, they've joined the ranks of those who left us too soon. We are disgusted, the holidays are ruined.
