Angkana Hotel Bungalows in Thong Sala

We booked 4 nights and we are currently 2 in, this resort is amazing. They keep the sand raked every day. The sea view and sunset are beautiful. There is a refreshing pool on the property and the restaurant is great! Good prices and large plate portions. The food is so flavourful. (Glass noodle salad and chicken cashew in the photos) The owner really put his heart into this place. There are kayaks to use for free! There are many areas to lounge. The layout is beautiful too. I cannot say enough to justify how much I love my stay here. We will absolutely be back!

I would recommend this place to everyone. It is a very beautiful, and simplistic resort, for anyone looking to really lay back and just enjoy the beauty of the island. The entire resort is sand, you can walk barefoot everywhere, and it is raked every morning so it is incredibly clean. The beachfront has lots of chairs, beanbags, and triangle pillows with huts, so there are lots of seating options. The beach is also remarkably clean, and has some of the best views on the island.

The owner is incredibly friendly, and he even organizes bocce ball with the locals, who were on the property to play twice during our four night stay. We didn’t play, but it looked incredibly fun and it was great to see the local interaction and bring life to an already amazing resort.

The restaurant is also amazing. We have been to Thailand 3 times now, spanning about 11 weeks, and it is some of the best Thai food we have had. The portion sizes are great, and it is well priced. We are at least one meal a day here rather than venturing out because it was so good for the price. The restaurant staff is also incredibly friendly!

There is also a new bridge that Google Maps doesnt show (it just says “bridge” on google, but the map hasn’t been updated). It allows you to walk left from the pier when you arrive to the island, and basically go right to the resort, rather than having to go up through the town. It saves a lot of travel time, and basically makes it a quick 10 minute walk to get to the pier area for food or activities.

We will 1000% be returning here. If the owner sees this, he should be very proud of the place he has. My heart would be full every day knowing I get to wake up and own this property and provide a great place to stay to people.

I stayed already couple times during my short visits to Koh Phangan. It is quiet and well maintained, with a peaceful atmosphere. Centrally located yet still feels very private. Very close to Thongsala Pier. Different parts of the island are easy to explore within a short distance. The rooms are private, comfortable, and clean.

We were very satisfied with our stay. The property is beautiful and very quiet, with a wonderful atmosphere. The owners are extremely kind, and the staff were always friendly and helpful.

It was very convenient that we could have our laundry done directly on-site. We especially enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of the property and our own private section of the beach, which was fantastic.

Just wow! 10 out of 10 for price performance value. We had just 4 best days at this place, we were taking free kayaks and explored wild beaches not far from the hotel. The people are very helpful. And the peace-full atmosphere of this place is just wow wow wow, location is great too. We didn’t even rent the motorbike, we walked every evening. The bathrooms really has no door, and the humidity together with mosquitos are there, but common this bungalow right on the beach. Highly recommended

We stayed here for one night and I loved it from the minute we walked down the drive. We had bungalow 2 looking out onto the beach. The grounds are stunning, it’s very clean and quiet. The staff put out a repellent candle on an evening so that you can sit on your balcony without being eaten by bugs. The sea in the bay isn’t good for swimming as it is very shallow but there’s a little kayak you can use for free and there’s a small pool. The bed was comfortable and the resident cat was very friendly also.

If you want peace, quiet and tranquility then this is your best place in a lovely setting and nice ambience. Brilliant staff and very nice hosts and the food and drinks also nice. If you want to be near the more lively areas then you will definitely need a scooter because this place is a little out of the more busier tourist spots parts. That said we really enjoyed our stay and would like say s big thanks to all the staff 😍😍

Had a wonderful stay here. We actually wanted to stay here for 5 nights, but they were full, so we slept elsewhere for the first 2. What a lovely house and a nice place. Nice veranda. Everything super clean. Good air conditioning. A swimming pool. Sunbeds. Beautiful sunset from your lounger with a glass of wine. And coconut, a super sweet cat. What else do you want. Renting a scooter is recommended. You can rent this around the corner from Angkana. We rented a slightly heavier scooter, because it is quite hilly on Koh Phangan. 350 baht per day. 5000 baht deposit. Had a super delicious Thai meal at Siri's island cafe. On Angkana's recommendation, we also had a very tasty Thai meal at a shop with blue chairs opposite O'Mart Liquor near the pier. Super basic, but the food was delicious. Highly recommended Angkana!

Best stay in Thailand. Very relaxing place to stay. Bungalows are very comfortable and have everything you need. We booked the beach front and was the best bungalow in our opinion. Waking up to the best view and the sunsets from our deck were amazing. The food at the resort is also outstanding and well priced. Walking into the town of Koh Pha-ngan is only about 10 mins where there is a variety of restaurants and shops. Better to go later in the day as more will be open. There is always 711 for toasties and iced coffee😋 Notes: very close to the pier - 100 baht per person to resort
