Beyond The Blue Horizon Villa Resort in Haad Yao

This is a very lovely property in a nice spot on the island. It is a bit of a walk (25 min) to the nearest shopping area but there are a few coffee shops and eateries closer. There is no beach. Very nice pool area at the sea. Great breakfast and good food at the restaurant at dinner. Very pleasant staff and owners. Comfy beds. Kayak and SUPs available to explore and snorkeling direct from sea access at bottom of property. This property sits on a steep hill so not good for people with mobility issues. I only wish they had more availability so I could have stayed here for more of my trip!

Great hotel. Location is solid, a few mins from Zen Beach. Rooms are big and offer a lot of privacy. Shower is great, and that's NOT a given in these parts. Toilet is an actual toilet, ie you can flush stuff down it. Service is kind and with a smile.
Happy with a great stay.
However, you should be prepared for a lot of stairs, like other similar hillside hotels nearby...

Absolutely incredible stay with my wife recently.

We had a deluxe sea view villa and the views were jaw dropping.
Clean, spacious and so comfortable.

The view from the bar and pool area are just magnificent.

Hotel food was amazing and a very special mention for the staff and in particular, the Italian Resort Manager.
Friendly and a magnificent host!

Hotel is around 25 mins from main Sala Ferry Port and there are a lot of amazing bars and restaurants within 15 mins walk of the resort.

Love love love. Wonderful stay met on arrival and shown to our room few things explained. It’s in a beautiful setting, the villas are high quality and immaculate. Restaurant here was lovely in every way. Great food and drinks selection with service to match. The a’la carte breakfast was excellent. Great location, really well run we loved it here.

Just had 3 wonderful nights stay at this idyllic hotel. From the gate entrance at the top a little path leads down through lovely gardens with individual room buildings to each side, ending at the reception, restaurant and pool with a wonderful view across the bay. The staff are exceptional, super friendly and speak English really well. Reasonably price food and drinks although snack choice is limited. Good breakfast choice and nice coffee. Rooms are spotless and fresh bedding daily. There's a coffee machine in the room that will take Dolce Gusto pods, but you get 4 pods per day anyway. The beach is OK but there's alot of seaweed and the sea is shallow for quite a distance. But the pool area is so nice why bother. The road seems quieter than the Tao and Samui so walking out feels a bit safer at night time. Loved it.

Overall our stay at the resort was amazing. The resort is very beautiful, the breakfast options are very good and the food we had for dinner was excellent. The hotel managers and the staff very professional and super friendly. We highly recommend to stay at this resort.

This is a small, intimate resort and beautifully maintained. Pros: The garden - design and maintenance are wonderful. We had a great balcony with ocean view. The host and staff are lovely and accommodating. This would suit a couple wanting a quieter more personal stay. Cons: You may need to hire bikes if wanting to eat out at different places, and we found the airconditioner struggled to cool the room. No fault of the resort (obviously!) but the beach isnt great, particulary at low tide. If you are really into ocean swimming this may not be the place for you. But if you want a secluded, lounge by the pool in a small, clean resort then this is the place.

We spent our honeymoon there and it was amazing. The boss Emanuele and his staff is very nice and caring. The staff was very friendly and the bungalow very clean. The restaurant has Italian und Thai food - the best Italian food we have eaten besides in Italy - WOW! Breakfast is included and was served next to the pool area - very nice.The view from our sea view bungalow was a highlight!!! We definetly recommend this awesome resort and hope we will be back again :)
