Worst experience I've had with a property, The French owner told me he would be refunding me if I didn't leave a negative review. He has declined so please use my review to save yourself a hassle while on a holiday

Beware of the nice hotel photos — the hotel is actually quite run down. After checking in, we discovered water damage and mould in the bathroom and we even found bed bugs between the mattress. Despite the villa being unhygienic and below standard, the French property manager refused to give us a refund.

Warning do not stay here. The room had mold and bed bugs... The owner is a rude French man. He would also not offer me a refund

31.01.25, on the territory of this resort, a Thai manager yelled and spoke rudely to my family. She did not like that my 4-year-old daughter put her foot in the pool when she and my wife were going to the beach. I do not see anything terrible about this, because the pool is located right next to the sea and all visitors one way or another walk either along the road or along the beach. But even if this is not allowed, it was enough to ask politely once, and not to pounce and yell so that all vacationers began to look at it. After the first words that it is not allowed to do this, my wife calmly apologized, but this did not stop the aggression from the manager, she ran out from the office and continued to loudly scold her in front of other people. When I began to sort things out with the manager, there was another European manager there, she also began to speak rudely to me in his presence. I explained my position, but he moved away, taking her side. So I make a conclusion that rudeness is normal in this place. I consider such behavior unacceptable. A person who cannot communicate adequately and control himself shouldn't work at the reception. I am also surprised by the reaction of the second European manager. I ask administration to pay attention to this situation and give me an answer. I am convinced that such an attitude is unacceptable.

The location is undoubtedly very nice and the interior of the villas is beautiful. Each villa has a private pool at least according to the pictures on the website, however, we were very disappointed to learn that two villas had to share a pool only separated by a thin fence which does not extend down to the pool's ground and thus can easily be underswum. On our arrival the pool was dirty and of muddy colour, so we complained with the manager that we were disappointed with the villa and that the website pictures would not reflect reality. We asked him to send somebidy to look after the pool. His answer was surprisingly rude, he showed us clearly that he didn't want to be bothered by his guests and said that he had checked the pool before our arrival and that it had been perfectly clean then, thus suggesting that we had spoiled it ourselves. During the whole 3 day stay the matter was not addressed anymore, although in lesson 1 of the hospitality course for beginners it would have been his principal duty to offer us another villa or give us a discount if the pool cannot be cleaned ir at least apologise, but nothing happened. The rest of the staff by the way is equally unfriendly, they expect that you kneel down before them until they open an umbrella for you. As a summary if you ask me whether you should go to this beach for your stay on Koh Samui I'd say, yes, definitely! But you better disregard la Perle and choose a property nearby if you want ti feel welcome and at home.
