Tara Mantra Cha Am Resort in Cha-Am

This Hotel really needs a lot of renovation.
We stayed on the 5th floor and when it rained there was leakage from the ceiling and fungus on the ceiling on that spot. The hotel had seven floors but even on the 5th floor the roof had fungus and a wet spot with water coming from the ceiling.
The swimming pool is not clean at all and not safe as no border glass only nylon string for birds not to sit on the edges of swimming pool. Not safe to swim as no proper boarder on 2 out of 3 swimming pools and ladder out of swimming pool loose and not good as per 4 star hotel standards.

As well no sauna or steam room for a 4 star hotel.
Asked for a shaving kit and they do not have such amenities.

NO TOILET PAPER ROLL, ONLY PAPER NAPKINS IN BATHROOM.

No tea bags served in room and only poor quality Nescafé even though in Thailand so many different good company coffee.

Generally by service this hotel is maximum 3 stars. For 4 stars as they advertised it and for the expensive price like 4 stars it's not worth the money and quality.

Only the breakfast food and staff were very kind.
That's the only plus for this hotel.

As well direct access to the beach but without sun lounges and for such a 4 star category of hotel sun lounges would be as per standards of 4 star hotel on the beach.

This hotel needs drastic renovation and improvements to fix major issues in the infrastructure of the hotel.

Overall we would not stay a second time in this hotel as it's not on par for a 4 star hotel in Thailand.
