Koyao Island Resort in Koh Yao Noi

I had a wonderful stay at Koyao Island Resort. The location is absolutely stunning—peaceful, surrounded by nature, and perfect for relaxing far from the crowds. The tented villas are spacious, beautifully designed, and very clean, with incredible views of the sea and the islands.
The staff were exceptional: warm, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The restaurant offered delicious food with plenty of fresh local options, and the breakfast was a great way to start each day, they also offer floating breakfast.

I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a quiet, beautiful, and unforgettable getaway in paradise. I can’t wait to come back!

This was my fifth time staying at this amazing resort, and it truly feels like coming home every time. The staff remembered me right away and made everything effortless from the moment I arrived. We took the boat tour through all the caves this time — absolutely unforgettable. The scenery was straight out of a dream, and our guide made the whole experience even more fun.

We also rented mopeds and rode around the island, discovering hidden beaches and quiet little spots to stop for drinks. It’s the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. The rooms are spotless, the food is always fresh and beautifully presented, and the atmosphere is exactly what you hope for when you escape to paradise.

Highly recommend this place to anyone — but fair warning, once you’ve been here, you’ll keep coming back just like I do.

We had an unforgettable family holiday at Koyao Island Resort. Good friends had stayed there two years ago, and highly recommended it to us. All reviews highlighting excellent meals and facilities are true. We arrived at the tail end of the rainy season and were not as lucky with the weather as we’d hoped we’d be, but the staff set up a movie for the children on one particularly soggy afternoon, and it frankly was warm enough for them to swim or play on the beach even in the rain. All staff were friendly, helpful and very kind to the children. Manager made a point of chatting with all guests at various times of day, not intrusive at all, was very helpful and friendly.

We had a lovely family beach villa that was plenty spacious enough for the five of us. Staff gave it a thorough cleaning every day. The only annoyance, and this has nothing to do with the resort itself, were the omnipresent mosquitoes. I’m sure this is due to the proximity of the beautiful mangrove forest on site, so not much can be done without interfering with the ecosystem. Staff provided a natural repellent spray, routinely lit mosquito coils and provided electric swatters, nets around the beds were helpful at night. But, despite our friends’ warning, I hadn’t been prepared for the quantity of mosquitoes.

Again, not attributable to the resort itself, but: my husband was a little disappointed by the murky sea. We had seen photos of crystal clear Thai waters in the region and expected to find the same at our hotel’s beach, but a local dive master explained that currents activate a lot of silt so visibility is generally poor. Our snorkel gear was unused over 10 days except for on one day boat trip.

This was the perfect introduction to Thailand for my preteen children and we are grateful for the excellent experience we had at Koyao Island Resort.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and go above and beyond to make sure every detail is taken care of. The service here is truly world-class, professional yet personal, with a level of care that makes you feel right at home.
The views are simply magnificent, breathtaking ocean scenery, peaceful surroundings, and a sense of tranquility that’s hard to find anywhere else. The villas are beautifully designed, the food is delicious, and everything reflects top quality and attention to detail.
A perfect blend of nature, comfort, and exceptional service. Highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a truly relaxing and memorable island escape. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I had such a wonderful stay here! The view of the Andaman islands was absolutely stunning – waking up to that scenery every morning was priceless. The room was super clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The food was really good too, with plenty of options to enjoy.

What I loved most was the staff – they were so kind, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile. Everything felt very flexible, which made the whole trip even more relaxing. Honestly, it felt like a perfect mix of comfort and warm hospitality. I’d definitely love to come back again! 🌴✨

The best beach on the whole island of Koh Yao Noi. Private 220meters long beach and its view. I appreciate the help of all the staff.

Very nice, peaceful resort. Love villa room. Good beach. Friendly, courteous staff. Nok, the masseuse was excellent and the massage rates were very reasonable, restaurant food quite good. Some suggestions for improvement: 1. The pool needs to be bigger and shadier (more tropical garden plantings, less grass). (On this trip we are stayings at 19 x 5* resorts , each for 2 day stays, across the 6 regions of southern Thailand (Phuket, Khao Lak, Koh Yau Noi, Koh Yau Yai, Ao Nang, Krabi, Phi Phi then back to Phuket). We are only up to resort number 9, but by far, to date your pool is the smallest. 2. The gym should be located at your resort not the 9 Hornbills tented camp and you need much more equipment.

Couldn’t recommend more highly - incredible spot and views. Simple, but thoughtful and very well cared for. Great breakfasts, super fresh bbq whole white snapper and phad se eiw were the food highlights. We stayed in a family villa which worked well for us (2 young kids). Staff are all so friendly and helpful. Wonderful to have sea kayaks and paddle boards on tap. Frank and I went and discovered our own private beach. ️ Thanks so much
