Jom Jam House in Koh Tao Island

Was looking for an internet cafe, but it's not (anymore?).

It's a scam. The same pregnant woman with the red mustache owns all the motorbike rental shops on the block. They rent you a motorbike for five euros a day (sounds really cheap, right?), but then when you return, they'll tell you there's a new scratch (on a motorbike that was already covered in scratches before you even took it) and that you have to pay for all the new parts. They initially asked us for 12,600 baht, but we finally managed to get it down to 6,000 after arguing for two hours and calling the tourist police. Apparently, this is how they operate, and they use the money they scam to buy new motorbikes.

SCAM ARTIST! Before I rent the bike we took both pictures of it. One day later I brought it back and he claimed about a small scratch on the front which weren't on the pictures. They asked for 4.500! baht, after a long discussion 1.000 and finally I've given 500 to get at least my passport back. They asked were I´m staying and it was in a a hotel next to them and I'm pretty sure this is their standard way to make a lot of money by scratching slightly their own bikes. You will also find similar experiences on tripadvisor. Be careful and avoid this company and couple!

Staying in Koh Tao? Well if you don't also want stay in hell DO NOT book a room here.
No a/c, noisy boats from 6am (i was literally woke from 6 am because of that, you are right next to harbour), no room cleaning (even if you put "please clean my room" on your door knob) and smell of piss. Beds and bathroom were ok can't really comply about those. Oh yea, and there were like 7 wall sockets in my room, so don't worry about that, you can bring your all your iphones and laptops with you.
