Siam Lanta Resort in Lanta Island

This wasn't the right place for us. We are traveling with a 4 year old and don't ride a motorcycle or car. You definitely need one if you stay here or willing to pay a taxi every time you want to go somewhere. This hotel was too remote for us.

The nearest beach is 10 minutes walk, that's fine, but it's next to an adult only hotel. So with a small child you don't feel welcome at that beach.

There is no restaurant or supermarket around the corner. The hotel only offers breakfast and that's it. It would be nice if the hotel would offer some snacks, drinks and ice cream. So you could spend a day around the pool.

The pool itself was very murky when we arrived. They where cleaning it so the next day the water looked clear, but smelled like rotten egg.

The house itself is small. Thats ok of course. But you don't have any space to put your stuff. Also there is no safe. So no place to put your passport etc. A safe should be a basic item in the room.
The house also squeeks so loud. Its the wood that cracks i think. But it wakes you up at night. It so loud it sounds like someone is knocking on your door.

The breakfast offers different things. But everything is cold. Eggs, sausage, rice. All cold. Its easy to keep stuff warm, so it tastes better.

The staff is friendly but don't seem to care that much. When we left the lady only realized that it was our check out when we where waiting with our bags for the taxi.

With a child and no own transport I would choose elsewhere.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They filled up our water bottles so we didn’t have to use one plastic bottle during our 5 days stay.
Very clean, very quiet. We loved the cats!
