Veranda Lanta Resort in Lanta Island

Terrible place and I would avoid at all costs . Firstly customer service does not exist. The room was awful. Dirty. Had no water for hours . Then dirty water poured out of the sink up from the sewer and when you gushed the toilet dirty water came up. Toilet seat broke. When repairing the issues there is no care or interest . They just took away the broken toilet seat and didn’t replace it . Couldn’t wait to leave .

I am going to keep this as short as possible and keep it to basic bullet points.....with images; Arrived at reception and the welcome was non existant. The word "room" was spoken by the lady on reception and she was off. We had to try and keep up with her with 2 25 kilo cases and 2 heavy hand lugguge in 34° heat, looking to see where the lady from reception had gone. Eventually we found her in one of the bungalows and she left, no information as to breakfast times or anything else.  Breakfast; Uncovered food, plates with cat paw prints across them, no cutlery, no hot water for tea or coffee. When we asked for the aforementioned items we were ignored. On return to our room after day 1's breakfast we were met with brown water coming from the bathroom sink, toilet and all other faucets. Off to reception to complain to be told there was an issue with their pump that they knew about but had omitted to inform guests of which could have easily been done with a note at reception including an apology. No apology was given at any time. We were just told the water would be back to normal in an hour but we must run the taps for 10 minutes befor each use!!!! Asked 6 times over the course of stay for 1 extra pillow before it was eventually provided. After room clean we had no towels and the bed making was literally the quilt thrown back over. The quilt had holes in and was badly stained.  Toilet seat was broken so we asked for it to be rectified. Nothing. When a young man eventually appeared with our towels we showed him the toilet seat which he proceeded to take away and that was it. We were left with a toilet with no seat for the remainder of our stay.  Zero customer service. We felt that it was an inconvenience us being there. Oh and the pool does not exist, you have to go to the resort across the road and use their pool but you have to find that out for yourself. Avoid this place at all costs.
