Rasa Sayang Resort in Lanta Island

The resort is really worn out, old and needs some serious renovation. The rooms are very basic. The bed is insanely uncomfortable, literally like concrete, we could barely sleep. The bathroom is small and the shower not separated by curtain or anything, so the water splashes all over the bathroom when you take a shower. They only give one towel per person. Breakfast has very limited variety, much less than any other 3 star thai hotel. There are only a few sunbeds and if you don’t go very early in the morning you won’t find any available later. Beach towels are only available after 10am, so if you are going to an excursion early in the morning you won’t have a towel, or you must bring your own. On the other hand, the location is perfect, right on the beach. The small coffee place by the beach is very good, they have real espresso machine and ice cream. The restaurant for lunch and dinner is also excellent, great service and tasty food. The staff is very friendly, kind and polite, but if you are looking for comfort, you should book another hotel

Detached house in a wooded garden, spacious with fridge, safe, air conditioning works only when we are in the rooms (the Key cannot be separated from the air conditioning card). 3 min walk from a beautiful beach with 2 nice restaurants (Cat Thai and the second home). On the other hand, breakfast is not very good quality, not plentiful and not varied. The services are not changed systematically, the staff is rather distant especially at reception. The Wifi is random.
