Oasis Koh Chang in Chang Island

Beautiful place to work. They have a long co-working table with plugs you can use so far as you order something from their restaurant (and they cook very well! at a reasonable price). The nature surrounding is excellent, Internet is stable, you can even use the pool for a refreshing dip in the water, music is very calm vibe, and there's never too many people or noise. 100% recommended.

I found this place on Google Maps and thought the vibe was nice and chill. I can’t really say if it was impressive or not, though. One of the bean bags smelled pretty bad, and the waitress wasn’t very friendly. I’m not sure if it was because of a language barrier, even though I was speaking English. So a waiter came over to talk to us instead.
Shoutout to the waiter at the counter — he was super nice. He even came to let me know when the dogs came out to play, even though he didn’t have to. 🥺

After seeing a video about the tree house restaurant Oasis on you tube we went there with the help of google maps, as it is not visible from the main road but at a small road leading up the hill 200 meters, so very close! it is a true oasis, floris hermans and his team created a true paradise, the food was excellent ( we had shaksuka and hummus) and a choco-banana shake. the going up to view the tree house towering above it all is a real highlight - bring a book! as you don’t want to leave anymore…

The open shower is a highlight! BUT: you must be aware that you’re “in nature” so expect ants in the bathroom 🤷🏽‍♀️

Location comes with several cats and dogs that roam around and especially one cat loved my bungalow and followed me inside all the time ❤️

I didn’t stay overnight at The Oasis Koh Chang, but I did spend some time enjoying the restaurant and the pool, and it was definitely worth the visit. Hidden deep in the jungle, this place truly lives up to its name — it feels like a real oasis in the middle of nature. Getting there isn’t the easiest (the access road is steep and only partially paved), but once you arrive, the setting instantly makes up for it. The atmosphere is calm, green, and completely disconnected from the outside world.

Let’s start with the food. I ordered a few dishes from their restaurant, which serves a mix of Mediterranean and Thai-inspired options. The falafel were decent — not the best I’ve had, but they did their job. Crispy on the outside, soft inside, and nicely seasoned. They go well as a snack or a light starter, especially if you pair them with hummus.

Speaking of which, the hummus was tasty and creamy, with a smooth texture and a nice balance of lemon and tahini flavor. However, the portion was a bit small for the price — definitely could have been more generous, especially since it’s the kind of dish you want to dip into again and again.

The coconut curry with shrimp was flavorful and aromatic, the kind of dish that immediately gives you that Thai comfort-food feeling. The shrimp were fresh, the sauce was rich and creamy, and the presentation was nice. The only downside was that, despite asking for it not spicy, it still came quite hot. If you’re sensitive to chili, you might want to double-check before ordering. Like the hummus, the portion size was also on the small side, which leaves you wanting just a bit more.

Now, the real highlight of The Oasis is the environment. The place is literally surrounded by lush jungle, and the vibe is peaceful, natural, and beautifully designed. You can hear birds, cicadas, and the sounds of the forest all around you. It’s one of those places that makes you slow down and breathe.

The infinity pool deserves a special mention — it’s stunning. Overlooking the treetops, it feels like you’re swimming above the jungle canopy. The view is breathtaking, especially in the late afternoon when the light gets golden. It’s also one of the most Instagram-worthy spots on the island — you can take some truly spectacular photos there.

Service was polite and relaxed, fitting perfectly with the overall atmosphere. Everything moves at a slow, tropical pace, so don’t come here if you’re in a rush — this is a place to chill and enjoy.

In short, The Oasis Koh Chang is worth visiting for its amazing jungle location and incredible infinity pool. The food is good, though not outstanding, with portions on the smaller side. Still, the overall experience — peaceful surroundings, beautiful design, and that pool view — makes it a memorable stop on the island.

We didn’t stay here so cannot comment on the accommodation. I did, however, come every other day whilst my husband was diving, we staying just down the road. It is in a stunning location with a gorgeous pool area, restaurant is amazing with great food choices and the staff are fantastic!! Even though we didn’t stay, we were made to feel so welcome. I HIGHLY recommend!

Really caring and considerate staff with a good varied menu, awesome shack style setting and restaurant. A little up the hill but worth the walk. Recommended for food and chilling and meeting good people - dogs are awesome too and super friendly.

It is a very unique and pleasant experience living in the jungle bungalow. The room is clean and basic. Here you can enjoy nice sunsets, great food and the friendliest staff you can ever find. They helped me a lot and recommended nice places to visit on the island. The pool and the tree house are amazing places to relax and hang out. Very easy to make friends with other guests, the staff, and the cats.
