Reviews
The location is absolutely unbeatable: 10/10. The hotel sits right in front of a Blue Line metro station, making it extremely convenient to get around the city, and it’s also right in the heart of the old town!
The only small downside is that the rooms could use better airing. You can still smell the natural humidity of the old building, which is understandable for a heritage property but worth noting.
Overall, a delightful experience with great service, an amazing location, and plenty of character.
Nonetheless, staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is also located opposite a bus stop and MRT station.
The lobby serves as a cafe and art gallery for budding artists. The cafe serves good coffee and the gallery enhances the vibe of the lobby.
The rooftop is also a nice to have as there’s chairs and tables for you to hang out and get some air on a good day.
Cons: The property is located at a very busy intersection, without any parking space. Taxis are not able to park near the hotel. If you have a lot of luggage, you will walk a little bit as the taxi will drop you off further away from the hotel. This is the same while leaving. You have to pull your luggage to the other side of the road, to Exit 2 of the MRT Station, to be able to flag a taxi or wait for your Grab ride. Most importantly, the hotel does not have a lift and the stairs are very steep. This makes carrying your luggage upstairs or downstairs dangerous and prone to accidents, in my opinion. If you have lots of big pieces of luggage, good luck. And before I forget, there's no fridge in the room. Last, if you're in Room 26, what you'll see outside the window is the construction of the intersection (End of June 2025).
Things I would like to see improved:
1. There is no tissue paper in the room, so you have to use the bathroom's.
2. The accommodation does not have any equipment, a refrigerator or a hot water kettle.
3. The floor of the accommodation looks uncomfortable. I don't know if it's the design or what, but it doesn't look very clean.
4. I booked a bunk bed with stairs to climb up, but I got a room with stairs that I had to climb up, which was tiring for my legs. The room was not as advertised.
5. The room was very noisy. I heard cars all night. I could hardly sleep, but I understand because the accommodation is on the road.
6. The bathroom is very small.
7. There is no elevator.
8. The pillows are very low.
The advantage is that you can check in and get a room right away. The staff provides good service, but I would like to see improvements in the things I mentioned because the location of the hotel is good.
Air conditioning, bathroom, safe.
On the road, easy to find, focus on traveling, not on relaxing because the noise on the road is quiet until almost midnight
The cafe downstairs, the coffee is very delicious
Attached welcome drink picture 😀
