I found myself at Rambuttri Village Hotel for an extended stay. I cannot say enough about the kindness and accommodating staff! And the location was great! Close to Khao San Road, but far enough away to be able to slow down. Everyone was always so helpful and kind. The breakfast buffet is very busy, but the food is really good and there are a lot of options. The rooftop pool is amazing. You can hear chanting and city noises ....I found it a great place to relax. There is a lot of nightlife near by so make sure you bring your earplugs if you're a light sleeper! I liked falling asleep to the city sounds, though...so to each his own. The hot shower and ac were solid and I was grateful for the hospitality girl on my floor that was accommodating for any of my room needs. (extra towels and water etc) She was absolutely so kind. And the front desk staff...the security ...everything. I also loved all of the little shops right in the plaza. The massage place is top notch, the tattoo parlor is awesome....(I did get a tattoo) and there are plenty of places to buy cannabis. If I could give them 10 starts I would! I'll be visiting there again!

Cozy and clean room, you get what you pay for. The room I had was on the fourth floor without an elevator, which for me isn’t a problem, but for people who are less able bodied, it might be an issue. Also I can’t recommend showering for longer than 5 minutes since the bathroom floor tends to flood a little. Otherwise, very comfortable stay at a great location!

Stayed here for a short solo stay in Bangkok. For a 2-star hotel, this is genuinly good value.

Depending on what you're looking for in Bangkok, it's a great stay. I prefer to be away from the highly touristic areas, and unfortunately we were located right on it. Even so, my room stayed very quiet and I was happy about that. Seemed like people are very talkative outside trying to get you to get a ride or eat at their place etc. The tuk tuk guy outside seems to wait and over charge, I used him in the end but I negotiated my price. He wasn't very nice. The front desk people were not very friendly, but they were okay. The hotel itself was nice and clean, outdated but didn't bother me for a couple nights. Rooftop pool and view was really a bonus. I went to the park nearby to get away from the tourists to sit in the shade and get a nice quiet walk in.
The breakfast was worth it because I was able to fill up for the day until dinner time and try many dishes at once they I hadn't had a chance to catch during my trip.

Its the third time i stayed in this hotel, I love the staff they are so warm and welcoming they really make the stay so much better.
The location is great you have a massage parlor just outside the hotel and a travel agency where you can book trips, taxis and all sorts.
Also very close to khaosan road, bars and clubs in the area but it doesnt disturb the peach and the rooms are still quiet.

A nice place to stay at a very reasonable cost. The hotel is situated conveniently by many bars and restaurants as well as being close to khaosan Road. Friendly staff too. The only small inconvenience was the poor Internet connection

This is my second time staying here and it was as nice as the first time. The staff are really friendly, reception is open 24hrs and checkin was a breeze even when arriving around 3am. The rooftop pool and view was one of the highlights, along with the location and accessibility to everything you need. I recommend this hotel 100%.

Excellent location with many restaurants and bars around but quiet enough for a good sleep. Khao San Road is just a few minutes walk as well as the river boat pier for public transportation. The rooms are simple bit clean and the hotel swimming pools on the rooftop are a good place to relax. Overall this hotel is recommended if you want to stay near khao San but do not want to be directly in the hustle and bustle.
