I booked here on a whim and it exceeded my expectations. The lush setting does wonders to your psyche. So green and teeming with wildlife. I saw multiple species of frogs, lizards, birds, and insects + flying squirrels, and even monkeys, all just in front of my cottage.

The cottage itself was clean and comfortable. Good shower and the AC worked well. An electric kettle was provided, along with some coffee. The only downside was that no pool/beach towels were provided, and that there were only Thai channels on the TV.

Check-in was smooth, extending our stay was easy, and everyone who works there is incredibly friendly and helpful, especially the manager.

The location is great, with the mountains as a backdrop. You’re away from the noise and traffic of the main, but only a few minutes away on foot from all the shops. There’s a free shuttle from the resort to the beach multiple times a day.

Highly recommend!

The hotel is wonderful, quiet, cozy, with a gorgeous view of the cliff. The bungalow is spacious and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The pool is clean and small, and the staff is very friendly. The nearest beach, Ao Nang, is a 20-minute walk away. The hotel offers a shuttle service that runs on a scheduled basis. I recommend it.

No written reviews can do justify how good this place it. I was offered the biggest Villa during my stay and it was actually Huge.
Swimming pool is great, cliff views are out of this world! They clean your rooms daily and it looks pristine when you enter back in the evening. Staff are good in replenishig toileteries. Reception people are kind and will give you tips of do’s and don’t’s. The guy who drives around to the beach in the van is extremely helpful.

The villa's rooms are amazing, big, spacious, clean, comfortable beds, amazing shower and so green and calming atmosphere. Best room for value we've been at.
Super super nice and friendly staff.
A real gem, don't hesitate if the villa room is available.

Firstly the staff are excellent very kind and helpful, the breakfast was better than expected from other reviews and the gardens and limestone cliff backdrop are gorgeous
The rooms are dated and need an uplift no telephone no English tv at all and the bed is hard, they need to give pool towels and not just let you use your room towels.

The location is far from the beach they do provide free taxi service to beach but if you can ride a scooter get one vipa rent them 250baht per day

On the slope at the foot of the mountain, the greenery is great, and there is a real holiday atmosphere. The rooms are all independent buildings. There is a shuttle bus to and from Ao Nang Beach and the hotel at a fixed time. The room is large, the bathroom is also large, and the staff is very friendly. The only problem is that when I need a hair dryer to blow my hair, I can't find it at all. I searched everywhere but couldn't find it. I like everything else very much.

Perfect location, close enough to downtown and the beach, but towards the end of a quiet street with plenty of lovely food options steps away! Staff were super friendly and rooms were pristine!

It's a long read, brace yourselves!
We stayed in Vipa Tropical Resort for 5 nights and the trouble started right when we moved in. They showed us to the room, which was the a bungalo next to the pool. It looked nothing like the pictures of the room we booked. So I went to the reception and said "that doesn't look like our room". After some debate (we were told that they are fully booked and, in reality, this was an upgrade) they took us to Superior room #113. At first glance, it was the room that we booked, but then... things started to come to light... All firnuture was old and beaten down. Literary! There were bits and whole pieces missing or broken. So I made a complaint to Trip.com and demanded to either manage the situation or get me a full refund. While they promised to resolve the issue whithin an hour, we went out into town and when we got back reception was already closed (not a 24h service), so we went to our room, decided to "sleep on it", pulled the cover from the bed... it was stained and the blanket was dirty, like it wasn't changed from previous stay. Another call to support and there was nothing that could do about it, but to offer to wait until morning. We spent the night cramped on the couch. In the morning I went to the reception, called the lady into thr room and said "I don't care about the furniture, but at least the sheets have to be white and clean and crisp". She tried to tell me that those are clean, just the laundry that they use isn't doing a good job.... Again, we went out for the day and by the time we got back the sheets were white, clean and crisp. And Trip.com agent offered us some coins "for the trouble". After night 4, there was a knock on the door and we were offered to look at the room #114... And it was PERFECT! Just next door. The bed was clean, the furniture was brand new, the shower had strong and hotter water. Why, oh why?!?! Oh yeah, they were fully booked and just moved people around....
Besides, all the trouble, the nature around is stunning. Very green and quiet. And the cliff massively hanging above is nothing but spectacular, but... that's where the good part ends.
P.S.: There waa a "do not disturbe" sign on our door. And yet, when we got back from our day trip, there were towels and TP and two bottles of water sitting on the couch. Quite disturbing, concidering there's no safe deposit box in the room
Not going to stay there again.
