Krabi SeaBass Hotel in Krabi City

Did not plan to stay here - my flight departing from Krabi was delayed and the airline arranged one night’s stay at this hotel. Arrived late at night and exhausted, just to find out that there is NO toothpaste provided.

When called and mentioned to the operator that it is unbelievable that a hotel would not provide (but instead selling) toothpaste for their guests, the operator just said “yes, unbelievable”. Definitely not up to standard. This is basic toiletries expected for a hotel. And definitely not train your operator to tell your guest that “this is unbelievable, but the toothpaste is available for purchase”.

You claim to be a 3 to 4 star hotel - not a hostel.

** To follow up on the hotel’s much appreciated response, I am supportive of the initiative to be environmental friendly. However all the hotels (with or without global presence) which I have stayed in for the past decade have always provided toiletries and additional item upon request, even though certain toiletries may not be provided by default.

It is acceptable to not provide any toiletries by default, however it is still crucial to provide them upon guests’ request to avoid inconvenience, especially at late hours. Such approach would better accommodate both environment and guest’s basic needs, and were practiced by the hotels I’ve come across (except for Krabi Seabass).

The conversation with the operator was also conducted in a friendly manner both ways - it may just be that the operator’s lack of proficiency in English and hence the confusing response of “this is unbelievable, but the toothpaste is available for purchase.”
