Krabi Tipa Resort in Ao Nang

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is excellent — only about a five-minute stroll to the beach, and the views from the property are absolutely superb. Our room was extremely large, modern, and very comfortable, and the entire hotel — both rooms and communal areas — was spotless throughout our stay.

The staff deserve special praise. Everyone we encountered was friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

The infinity pool was a real highlight, offering fantastic views and plenty of space to relax. Breakfast was good with a nice variety of options, though a little on the expensive side, especially when nearby resorts offer similar choices for around 25% less.

Overall, a great place to stay with excellent facilities and service — we would happily return.

Fantastic resort in the heart of Krabi. The room was great with close access to the main foyer and pool right outside our room. The infinity pool offered incredible views of Krabi and great atmosphere. We spent a day by the pool and couldn't ask for a better way to re-charge. The staff were super friendly and attentive and anything we requested was never a problem. Access to the main walking street was a 2 minute walk but a welcome relief from the craziness. When you turn the corner at night into the resort its a welcome relief of calm. Highly recommend to anyone considering this resort.

All staff that we dealt with or even passed along the way we're friendly and very welcoming, even the workers who were installing the new solar panels on two of the buildings!

Being this resort is build on a hill, you will need to be prepared to walk up a hill if your room is located up there. Yes they do offer a golf cart service up and down it however there are some flaws with it... We only ever saw two buggys at once, that was a rare occasion, majority of the time it's only the one operating. My guess this is the set up whilst the other is charging. The team are consistently driving people up and down throughout the day and credit to them for trying to keep everyone happy! We did notice that some guests seems to abuse this power and would jump in a cart when a staff member was helping others with their bags for them to turn around and see people sitting in there and would only cause unnecessary problems for the staff members. Ngl it did annoy me seeing guests take the buggy to literally only go a couple hundred metres when others needed to hike up to the top. The only issue we personally had with the service was it seemed after like 9:30pm* the golf cart was no where to be seen. Could've just been our bad timing, who knows but generally when we would come back from dinners with a gut full of food & practically start a workout to finish ya night off getting up that hill.

The infinity pool located at the top of the resort is truly a main selling point. Daily you would see folks getting their shots for the gram with the amazing views you would look out to! Be mindful that cause of this, people tend to set up tripods and leave them unattended whilst they're off posing the in pool, so it's most likely you'll end up in the background of someone's fyp just be simply chilling by the pool but tbf most people seems to be considerate of others! The pool bar looked to be ran by the same dude each day* and credit to him, he made soon bloody good cocktails! Could either charge to your room and pay cash. You can also place a food order if you fancy a bite to eat, just be on the look out when it does come around as you don't get a number of buzzer to identify where you are in the pool, only the staff trying to remember who ordered what and trying to then find ya swimming around. Didn't have any issues with that nor did we see anyone not receive what they ordered so hey if it works, it works!

Cleanliness of the rooms, we never had any major issues with this ourselves. There might have been times were one cleaner may have missed a few things but nothing that we found to be major. Lighting in our bathroom we found to be quite dim and could use an upgrade so you can actually see yourself. Bed was clean, pillows could have been better but was always nice to come back to after a busy day of exploring. Noticed that our outside balcony chair was missing it's cushions as we saw other rooms seem to have them.

Being there's a 711 literally across the road from this resort I found us buying multiple different drinks to try and place into the room fridge. They would go in cold and come out on the verge of warm but partially chilled.. Lil hack for ya though, put whatever you want to drink first on the top shelf, seems to be the only spot that the drinks would actually stay cold.

Overall my fiance & I enjoyed our time here, couple things here and there that could be improved but feel like you would get that anywhere you go.

We LOVED our stay at Krabi Tipa! Beautiful hotel located in a great spot, walking distance to everything and very friendly and helpful staff. The pool is beautiful and room was lovely too.

The drinks menu at the pool was better priced than expected, and we enjoyed all the food we ordered as well (just note they are small portions).

They also had a golf cart take us up and down when needed! So despite being at the top of the hill it was no problem.

If we are in Krabi again we would happily stay here.

My family and I stayed at Krabi Tipa Resort over the New Years, we had an amazing time, all the staff were extremely nice, our rooms had the best views ever and were cleaned every single day. They also have a cart service that picks you up from your room and takes you to the front. Tiger was our driver and was one of the best people I met there. He was very professional and was a very safe driver. The staff at the reception desk were very helpful and everyone was always so happy. Would definitely recommend. Very good location too.

The location of the resort is perfect. You're on the main strip but it's super quiet the second you step foot into the resort. We stayed in an ocean view room and the view was incredible ! The hotel pool was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a concierge at the front desk who were super helpful in organising our day trips and a traditional Thai cooking class which was super fun. If you're looking for a romantic resort, this is it.

Things to be worked on: beach towels for guests which aren't very thin as they needed to be replaced regularly, and ensuring you can order coffee earlier than 11am outside of the breakfast buffet.

Recommended, a good resort. The good: well kept, clean and tidy, very green with lots of plants and trees, excellent friendly and helpful staff, amazing views from the top terrace. Room for improvement: when at full capacity there's not enough space at either pool, it's simply too full. Whilst the bottom pool has a shady overlook of vines, the top terrace and pool is a modern concrete-and-stone affair in the full sun all day with no cover except for about five parasols which are fought over daily. It feels cheap there's not enough sunbeds or parasols in the resort. The bad: If you book a speedboat island tour through the hotel, please check the provider of the tour and do a Google search and read the reviews before you pay - ours had 2* and universally bad reviews and we had the worst trip with them I've ever been on (43 people crammed into a tiny boat being yelled at all day), it's shameful that the hotel actually sends their guests to these people.

Great hotel with a spectacular view from the infinity pool, placed inside a lush garden near the main road but still away from all the noise. Our room was specious, the beds were comfortable, AC ran smoothly and the shower was great too. One little detail could get more attention from management - bathrooms towels looked used and dirty, something worth taking a bit more care of. Besides that, we enjoyed our stay here very much!
