Phangan Barsay Hostel in Thong Sala

Great hostel!

From Thong Sala Pier, walk to the accommodation about 700 meters. There are convenience stores and many restaurants near the accommodation. Book a private room, but the bathroom is shared. The staff is welcoming. There is a shuttle service to Haad Rin during Full Mon at 150 baht per person/trip, a distance of almost 10 km. (And you can also take a ferry from Haad Rin to Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui, which has 2 rounds at 12.30 and 16.00.) On the way back, there is a songthaew service all night. You can negotiate a fixed price or wait until the passengers are full to save money.
This accommodation provides coffee and drinking water in the common area. Shampoo and shower gel can be purchased by yourself. It is recommended to book accommodation in advance during the festival. There are also yoga classes and morning exercises.

Would recommend for (solo) backpackers. Relaxed staff and enough to do

My favorite stay on the islands. I would recommend the private room with AC. Bed wasn't super comfy, but other than that, it was great! Really cool' chill vibe here, a bit away from the bars and everything but still very walkable.

The place was extremely clean to be honest. The pricing is affordable compared to the services provided by the hostel. It is very close to Pan Tim market and Thong Sala Pierre, which makes it very accessible. There are markets closeby. The staff was extremely helpful and always put a smile on their faces.
