Reviews
It was my 4th time in Tunisia, before staying in Hammermet, Port el Kantoui and Sousse.
Probably spelt all those wrong!
Anyway.. what a fantastic hotel, so beautiful and so peaceful.
I really liked all the space in the lobby and the bar.
The staff are so so great, so friendly.
By the 2nd night I didnt even ask for a drink, Sadek my lovely waiter brought them over to me. He is so friendly and a credit to the Iberostar name.
Also in the restaurant I have to mention Hobsen, although I could have spelt the name wrong.
He had my rose wine and water ready for me at my same table every day.
These things made my holiday so special
I must also mention the Easyjet rep Akram.
Very helpful
Fantastic hotel, it really deserves the 5 stars.
A special thank you to the Guest Relations Manager for her professionalism and dedication, she went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Overall, a wonderful hotel with excellent service, great food, and a beautiful setting. We can’t wait to return!!
We will certainly come back!
This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had. The staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. Extremely arrogant and unprofessional personal!
I asked about late check-out and was told it would cost 80 TND, but when the day came, the price suddenly changed to 100 TND.
We had reserved a superior room with sea view, but we did not get the room we booked. On top of that, our room was left uncleaned for two days, and when I complained, reception simply said they had too many new guests. That’s not an excuse – I also paid to stay here and expect basic service.
The main restaurant was dirty, and the dishes often looked unwashed. The pool area was no better – leftover food and drinks from previous days were left around, which was unhygienic and unpleasant.
To make matters worse, one staff member preparing fish(young girl) behaved arrogantly toward guests, making faces and laughing at them. This is unacceptable behaviour in hospitality.
There was a constant unpleasant smell throughout the hotel, which made the whole stay even more uncomfortable and gave the impression that the place was not properly cleaned or maintained.
Overall, the service, cleanliness, and attitude at this hotel were extremely disappointing. I do not recommend it.
Awful service. If you ask for something on the reception, like a towel, because we are 3 person in the room and the made left only 2, you will get more. But tomorrow:-). If you ask for shampoo you will get one. 5 days later. Air conditioner ... A lot to say, but in short - not working properly. Sometimes I feel there like an intruder, not a guest. A lot to say about hygiene, but better not to remember how in the restaurant the staff touch all the time the food. Beach bar - no coffee. I do believe that someone will like the place, but not me. Never ever again.
This is a wonderful and beautiful hostel. It has all the requirements of the individual. And the workers are great and kind. And this hostel has refreshing ideas and others are very wonderful, and its food is very, very, very delicious, from hot and sweet, well done all the frame ❤️👏
The hotel is not new (and most hotels in this area are similar). However, this does not mean that it is neglected. On the contrary, you can see the efforts of the staff to maintain order. The facility is large (800 people could stay in it at the same time). The hotel beach is directly next to the hotel. It is a very nice beach .
The restaurant serves a large assortment of meals. Certainly everyone will find something for themselves. It is natural that with such a mass of people you often have to wait a few minutes for a dish prepared by the cook on the spot (e.g. the proverbial omelette). I do not consider this a drawback. It's the same all over the world. A little understanding of the situation will come in handy. Likewise, finding a table. We had no problem with that throughout our stay. Even if a table was not ready yet, it was enough to ask the waiter and he prepared it right away. Service - waiters, cooks are very helpful and nice. And it doesn't depend on the tip provided. They are just like that. They try and this has to be appreciated. There are also bars serving a more modest assortment of food and quite good alcoholic drinks.
The rooms are typical, standard. Housekeeping is helpful. The rooms are clean. Individual air conditioning worked properly.
The swimming pool (and actually several pools, including the slide) is liked by children.
There is an extensive animation program by the pool which is very popular.
And the beach is very nice. And it is especially important to emphasize the commitment of security to keep order on the beach. We had no problems with a sun lounger on the beach. You can always ask the staff for help.
And there is also Wifi which (which is not the norm) works throughout the property, including the beach!
To sum up: the hotel has honestly earned its 4 *.
Would I spend my holiday in this hotel again - definitely yes.
Would I recommend this hotel to friends - of course.
Finally: even in the world's best resorts, if you insist, you will find some shortcomings. But is that what it is about vacation?
