Friendly and attentive staff repeatedly praised as 'lovely' and 'very friendly'. The beach receives perfect 10/10 ratings for cleanliness and convenience with free sun loungers and umbrellas. Family-oriented facilities and activities such as the mini-club, playground, and various sports keep guests entertained. Food quality is generally well-regarded with 'lots of choice' and 'delicious and varied' buffet options. Rooms are spacious and cleaned daily, despite some being dated, with ongoing refurbishment noted. Several guests reported hygiene issues at check-in including leftover bottles and missing towels. Complaints about food safety and lukewarm serving temperatures leading to illness in at least one case. Indoor heated pool cleanliness and temperature were criticized, with suggestions for refurbishment. Housekeeping inconsistencies, including rooms not being cleaned properly during stays and missing linens. Some guests noted noisy poolside music lasting late into the night, which disturbed early sleepers.

Hotel staff lovely very friendly can’t do enough. always something to do! The animation team work so hard to make sure everyone is having an amazing holiday 100% recommend and will come back.

There was one problem here. We witnessed staff creating relationships with the guests through Facebook, telling them how poorly they are paid, getting into online relationships when the guests have left and then asking /begging for money. We heard many stories from lots of people that were all very similar. Other than that the place is fantastic and good value for money. Evening entertainment was spot on

I arrived at this hotel on Monday evening as part of an all-inclusive package holiday. Unfortunately, from the very start there were issues.
On arrival to the room, there were half-empty bottles of water left behind from previous guests, no toilet roll, and no towels provided. This immediately raised concerns about cleanliness and room preparation.
By Wednesday afternoon, I became seriously unwell with gastrointestinal symptoms. From that point on, I spent almost the entire holiday confined to my room, unable to eat at all, repeatedly needing the toilet, and feeling extremely unwell. This continued every day until departure the following Monday.
I strongly believe I became ill from the food, which was never served piping hot and was often lukewarm, making it unsafe to eat.
Despite being clearly and visibly ill:
No doctor was arranged
No medical assistance was offered
No welfare checks were made
I was left to cope alone while sick in a foreign country
On the day of departure, I explained that I was still actively unwell and physically struggling. Nevertheless, I was forced to vacate the room and told I would need to pay £60 for a short room extension, which felt completely unreasonable given my condition. No alternative space was offered for me to rest or sit comfortably while waiting for my transfer.
I was left sitting in the lobby while ill, with little to no compassion or understanding shown, which added significant stress and discomfort to an already frightening situation.
After returning to the UK, I was rushed to hospital, where I required 2 litres of IV fluids and pain relief, and was diagnosed with a traveller’s infection and dehydration. This confirmed that my illness was serious and not minor.
This experience was total hell for me. It was my first time in Tunisia, and from the care I received at this hotel, I never want to go back there again. They have completely put me off visiting Tunisia.
While illness can happen anywhere, how a hotel responds matters greatly, particularly at an all-inclusive resort catering to international guests. In this case, the lack of hygiene on arrival, unsafe food, and the absence of medical support and basic empathy when I became ill, made an already distressing situation far worse.
I would strongly advise future guests to carefully consider how they might be supported if they became unwell during their stay.

For the price we paid can't fault it.
Spending New year in Greeks island or Canaries would require to multiply our price X3
Not a massive choice off food yes but it's enough for majority and always taste and fresh. More than enough to keep us all happy.
Beds are really so so good, very comfy, and guest rooms cleaned daily.
Hotel situated in peaceful location , just outside off town centre, very nice and extremely well maintained garden.
We had a good and quality time in Tunisia.
Unfortunately outside your room Tunisia in general screams for a deep clean.
Hotel Staff are there for the job but not so keen on cleaning or raising standards, I noticed it could be in there coulture.
We noticed lots off rubbish thrown out everywhere even the beach outside hotel.
Management doing there bits right as you see bored cleaners here and there but unfortunately they not doing it right in return.
If the price next year stay same or on similar level we will definitely return to Occidental Marhaba.

I loved my time at this hotel as all the staff were lovely so I hope to come back in the summer and stay again. However there is 2 improvements I would make:
1. The snacks in the day after the buffet dinner has finished are absolutely terrierible. Cold greasy chips, tomato sauce and cucumber sandwiches and cold turkey fingers. Please do better! The deserts and ice cream were great but when you're coming in from travelling for hours and you've missed dinner you'd hope to have a bit better than this. It's basically inedible!
2. As we visited in winter we went to try out the indoor pool but it was in need of a good scrub down. The floor was covered in grey dirty water and the pool tiles were tiny so it's obviously hard to keep up with keeping it clean and so the grout was pretty gross. I would recommend redoing the pool with larger tiles so it's easier to keep clean. Also it says it's a heated pool but it's pretty cold in my opinion

Other than this the hotel is great, it's spacious, clean and very beautiful.

Exceptional experience at this hotel! The staff, waiters, the beach, security, everything was truly amazing.
Never had issues finding a spot at the table to eat, never had issues finding a spot on the beach, good location close to the city, easy to get around. Lovely people of Tunisia, we had a great time at Occidental.

This hotel has everything for a great stay. Everything was OK, except the housekeeping. Our room was not entirely tided up for the entire stay, they never changed the sheets or cleaned the furniture. The last day the room was not cleaned at all and we even did not have towels. This is not acceptable for a 4star hotel.

Not pleased with the holiday at all.
Rubbish dinner on the first night brought to our room. (we arrived after restaurant was closed)
No bed for my 6 year old son, even tho he was booked in. They sorted out after we complained.
Phone from our room was not working.
Restaurant food bad quality (really bad) and drinks even worse.
Really small glasses for drinks.
Not available plates for dinner when Restaurant gets busy.
Bar for drinks at pool and beach open one hour later than what they schedule.
No toboggan available even though it was advertised.
If you decide to go to the beach, you will find lots of people trying hard to sell you lots of different things.
Really loud music by the pool all day long until late. At least 11pm. If you decide to go to bed nice and early, you will be in trouble due the music.
Nice hotel, old fashion stile. Always clean, but a bit of love was needed.
Before my arrival, i sent a number of emails regarding my booking and they never replyed.
I do not recommend this hotel at all.

in terms of hotel rank and price ratio, the whole experience deserves 5 stars. The reception and management are professional, the rooms are decently clean and large, the hotel requires a little better maintenance, the food is excellent and there is a large selection of dishes, the waiters are friendly but some are less expeditious, but the expediency of some of the staff increases with the tip (breakfast is from 7 a.m. and the problem is for early risers who want to drink coffee, e.g. around 6 a.m.), the pool and the area around the pool is clean and there is a lifeguard who is helpful, the pool with slides has a lifeguard who does not pay attention to safety during the descent (be sure to be careful when you descend and watch out for their children when they go down because the guard doesn't do it), the animators are fun and are constantly present around the pool and sometimes around the stage to make the stay more interesting. all in all, the overall atmosphere is great (I repeat in the range in which the hotel is located) and you get what you paid for. and yes, the sea is shallow and there are jellyfish, so you should be careful with small children.

I had a lovely stay, you really get your monies worth here. Tea and coffee on the all inclusive is not that nice, however you can pay for nicer drinks which are good. Food is 5/5, chefs with a lot of experience. Personally I did not enjoy the animation, they play loud music by the pool side all day which was annoying, however the beach is also just right there and it is quiet and peaceful there. Overall, was a great hotel if you have children, as there are plenty of activities for families, food is fantastic and some of the staff are really nice, however I can see they are understaffed and at times staff struggle to meet demands.

No, Dishonest. To be avoided absolutely !

BEFORE it was a pizzeria that is held by an Italian, BUT since the recent change of manager, it became NULL !!

We were there as a family, we ordered pizza. Already, before the taste of the pizza had a weird-looking : a kind of white sauce on it with a texture watery. Appearance and taste similar to those of a béchamel sauce but no mozzarella. We called the manager but he has done everything to assert that this is the mozzarella.

So we asked him to go and see the tray where the pizzaiolio take this "mozzarella" , we were in the kitchen and pulled it out of the fridge (and not one of the bins of ingredients) mozzarella is totally packed, not opened !

It is amazing all the same not to apologize and be dishonest. It should be noted that this white sauce weird replacing the cheese has led to pain in the belly.

FLEE FLEE FLEE, I ate with my family and my parents in this restaurant for the second and will surely be the last time. We had all the food poisoning that same evening. The funny thing in the story is that during lunch I lift with my wife to choose the dessert. My surprise was big when we discovered the chocolate fondant with mold on the disappointed. I shout out to the boss of the restaurant and his response was funny. He told me that it was the white chocolate (rofl) I had to insist that he touch and note that it is mold and despite this, he has removed 2 out of 12 but I can confirm that it was all rotten .I really find this irresponsible boss. We have fallen sick because of the hogwash of this kind of type. It is not even come to present the apology at the end, or make necessary arrangements with these employees. I would eat more ever in this restaurant and I will make sure that no more of my friends eat in it.
