Mirage World in Icmeler

After 10 days at mirage world, tbh I’m glad to be going home, no the hotel was not awful however definitely not a 4 star hotel, on my first night we arrived at 10pm. The room I had been allocated was not what I had booked. It was absolutely horrendous, wall lights hanging off the wall, dirty bathroom with cracked tiles, dirty fridge and wall filler slapped on the walls that hadn’t even been sanded or painted. I had to stay with another couple in there room on the first night. I was then changed to another room in block c which was better. A very basic room but it was clean, had working air con and a balcony. The food here is not great. If you’re a picky eater you will soon get bored off living on chicken nuggets and chips. Things like boiled turkey and boiled veg were absolufelt horrific and the food was very repetitive so was very limited. The drinks were also very limited, with only vodka, gin and whiskey, and the juice is horrific.

One thing I can’t fault was the evening entertainment, really engaging and had a good variety of shows and options throughout the time we were here.

The pool was absolutely freezing however I can imagine in the peak of summer it would be much better.

Overall no I personally wouldn’t stay here again, however it was not a horrendous holiday, I would rate maybe a 4-5 out of 10

This hotel is not a 4 star. Maybe a 3 at a push. The entertainment is good, food wasn’t bad although there is flies everywhere but I suppose that can’t be helped. The night we arrived we were placed into a tiny room that was old and unclean, (hairs and stains in the bed sheets). It was nothing like the picture advertised on love holidays! The room was for 2 adults and a 7 year old. The child’s bed was basically like a camp bed and not comfortable at all. It wasn’t suitable for 3 people to sleep in. We had to pay £150 extra to be upgraded to a new room. So be careful when you book here and make sure you don’t book the standard room if you want to have comfort but if you’re not bothered about the room then you should be ok. One of the reception staff named Parvana was one of the rudest people I have ever met in my life, her attitude was disgusting and because of her alone we would never return to this hotel. She ignored us when we came to reception, she wasn’t helpful at all when asking about our transfer back to the airport, she was so dismissive and laughed at us rudely, I’m honestly shocked at how she’s still working there if this is how she talks to people. There was a lovely lady named ayse who was so polite and friendly.

On arrival in the early hours of the morning, we were shown to our room to discover that there were ants coming in from the room door but as we’d been travelling for numerous hours and getting into our room at 4am we just sprayed the perimeter with anti mosquito spray which solved the problem. The next morning, we went down for breakfast and the restaurant is awful, food is all sorts of weird combinations and there do not have enough tables to accommodate how many guests are staying, numerous times throughout our stay we have had to eat sat on sun loungers. If they cant cope with capacity then they need to think about having doffeeernt sittings so that people get chance to sit at a table. The food generally is bland and awful and we’ve e fed up eating out. The only thing the all inclusive is good for is the drinks but even they’re not the best. This was not a cheap holiday by far for us and while we didn’t expect The Ritz, we did expect something a bit better and to be able to sit and eat a meal. Our room although it’s ok, it’s not big enough for three people and hardly any storage and 8 hangers in the wardrobe. The sliding door to the balcony is broken and does not lock so luckily we hired a safe to keep our possessions and passports in. Some staff pleasant, others just appear to be a bit arrogant. This is not somewhere I would recommend and I definitely would not stay here again.

Very disappointed as not cheap. We arrived in the early hours of the morning after a long transfer and were greeted by reception staff I can only refer to as arrogant and unhelpful. The rooms we were allocated were absolutely disgusting. Dirty, mouldy and apart from one room which was in a different block were uninhabitable. All of the bedding was stained. Quite unclean. The bathrooms were revolting and smelly. The worse rooms were Block E Going back to reception made no difference as the reception staff were a simple "come back at 9am" We rang Easyjet who requested photos and asked us to speak to Reception. At 9am we went to reception and were asked to return at 10am but the suggestion was we weren't going to be able to be moved until the following day, which was unacceptable given the state of the rooms. After a lot of calls between Easyjet and the hotel we managed to get rooms in a different block. At this point I have to say a special thank you to Aise on Reception. She's clearly trying to handle a lot of upset customers and did this as well as she could under the circumstances. Sunbeds - not a chance to get one in the shade unless you reserve one at 6am, or you want to roast in the sun up by the "entertainment pool". Food - Lots of very odd choices but no real labelling. Not enough tables out of the bright sunlight. Not enough waiters to keep up with demand. The omlettes were great, but a long queue. Crepes were available but the queue for that was ridiculous. There were a lot of wasps about which made for an uncomfortable dining experience. The snack bar was ok. Drinks - watered down at best. Bottles of water only available at meal times (if you were lucky) otherwise you had to go to the bar and get a glass of water. Would make more sense environmentally to have water machines scattered about so people could refill their own or bottles from the restaurant. Entertainment - loud and obnoxious. You can't escape it. If you are less than very mobile I would avoid this hotel as the facilities are over several different levels and only 1 lift to get you to the level to get to the restaurant. Would I go back. Absolutely not. Would I recommend it. Absolutely not. As much as I don't like to leave bad reviews this hotel is dreadful. If you've already booked and get the opportunity; try and find an alternative or explore your options to.

Negatives- night one a cat was either thrown into or fell into pool, rescued by a holidaymaker but went on to die a horrific death poolside (understand this is not hotels fault but they could have moved the cat away from crying adults and children inc myself). Pool is good but not cleaned often enough bottom always covered in plant bits. Rooms are very small (not that you go on holiday to sit in room but is worth noting) also very outdated and dirty looking walls. Fridge hardly works. Meal times in restaurant constant chaos and hard to get a table. Food edible but not great. All outdoor cooking areas and tables swarmed with wasps. Snack bar same thing everyday and all quite bland and basic. Not enough shaded loungers for everyone so got to be up and out crazy early with towels if you want a lounger in shade. No bin in room. No waiter service around pool. Night time entertainment ridiculously loud. Some other people had strangers going into their rooms in middle of night so definitely lock yourself in! No lobby bar. Corridors around the hotel feel like being in a fan oven. Definitely would not say this is a 4 star hotel (says 4 on easyJet). Positives- staff are friendly, drinks are good, photographer and massages are great, hotels 24hr shop very good, air con in rooms works very well as does shower (but v slippery shower floor). Good range of daytime activities. Great location for beach nearby, shops and restaurants.
