A nice hotel worth staying

Cozy and focused on Dutch people

Cozy hotel in the center of Kusadasi. I've been in a holiday accommodation with Dutch people before, but this has something special. We all know the expression: "You make fun yourself". At Akdeniz Apart Hotel they know how to turn this around in a fun way to: "We make fun together"

This hotel has 2-3 people walking around, a cooperating operator, a cleaning lady and someone who works with the operator (in our case Katja, a nice young lady from Utrecht).

The hotel is old, the first hotel of Kusadasi, and that again has its charm. If you expect 4-star luxury here, then you have to adjust your expectations quickly. There is no elevator and in my opinion the hotel is not suitable for small children (there is no playground and you are right next to a road).

Communication with the operator (Erkan) is in English. Of course we speak Dutch with Katja. The cleaning lady does not speak English or Dutch, but with hand gestures and a friendly smile you can go a long way.

Everyone does his/her best to make your stay a success in all sorts of ways. A healthy balance between service orientation, angelic patience and humor. Involve people in your plans, and they will think along creatively (such as an early breakfast, packed lunch, etc.).

What struck me is the large group of returning guests. Several guests have been coming to this hotel for over 10-15 years. The funny thing is that (provided you also act normally) you are immediately included in the group. The result is therefore all breakfast together, and if you don't go out for dinner in the evening, also eat together and linger over dinner.
Erkan cooks himself, and he can cook well... and then he joins the group and just eats with them.

Some guests get up early and take a walk past the bakery... Well, and if you're at the bakery, you also take bread for the hotel. Everyone contributes in some way. There is also a dog... and one of the hotel guests regularly walks the dog.
This illustrates a bit the geniality with which everything goes.

I could go on for hours about the fun and funny experiences at this hotel, but the key question is, of course, "Can I recommend this hotel?". The answer is a resounding "YES". If I am in this area again this hotel will be at the top of my list for stay again.

Hotel in the center of Kusadasi. Ideally located to explore Kusadasi. Erkan, the manager, is a very nice, hospitable man who likes to take his guests with him. You can enjoy breakfast on the shaded terrace in front of the hotel. It is not a suitable hotel if you want to lie by the pool all day. It is nice for a cooling dip, but the pool is not really big. It is not a 5 star hotel, so don't expect too much from it. But the price is there too. However, it is pleasant and cozy. For us a reason to come again!
