I don’t even know where to begin. First of all, what you see in the photos doesn’t reflect reality! The hotel is in terrible condition — the rooms smell damp, and the service is 0 out of 10. When we arrived, no one greeted us. We stood under the sun for an hour waiting for the manager to show up and open the doors — all after a very exhausting journey.

When the doors were finally opened, we saw that the rooms were completely unprepared, and they started cleaning and getting them ready right in front of us. Breakfasts were included in the booking, but they were never served on time throughout our stay — and on the first day, they completely forgot about it.

If you have the option, find another place to stay, do it. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel!

Absolutely loved this hotel! The rooms were so big and the beds were very comfortable. The cave rooms are kept very clean and the breakfast was great. Bilal and Burcu were amazing hosts. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Our stay at Helios Cave Hotel was truly unforgettable. The unique cave-style rooms were cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated, offering an authentic Cappadocian experience. But what really made our visit special was the incredible hospitality we received.

Bilal, the owner, was incredibly helpful and kind. He personally guided me and my friend in booking our hot air balloon tickets — an absolute must-do in Cappadocia — and gave us great recommendations for exploring the village and surrounding areas. His local insights and genuine care made us feel at home and helped us make the most of our trip.

Highly recommended to anyone visiting the region. We’ll definitely be back!

In fact, it was possible to put 2 stars, but the poor attitude towards customers is repulsive. I can't speak for all the rooms in the hotel, but the spa room is the biggest disappointment in 5 months of traveling in Turkey. The bedroom and the toilet + bath area are in no way separated from each other. Therefore, all sewer smells and dampness will be by your bed. You will be told that this is the smell of natural stone, but it is not. I went down deep into the underground city and even there there is no sewer smell. Also, their spa bath is leaking and you won't be able to enjoy your bath as you'll notice a huge flood and have to wipe it dry. Start wiping and find someone else's hair and dust on the floor. After taking a bath with a rag on the floor, you will want to go into the room to drink water, and you will find someone else's cigarette butt in a glass. The receptionist will answer your objections with something like “Why are you bothering me just because of a cigarette butt. This is a decorative glass and you don’t drink from it, but a cigarette butt from past guests. What’s the problem?”. After such an attitude, you understand that you are just talking about different things. I'm not talking about the language barrier, I'm talking about the semantic barrier. We just got up and left the next day, they refused to return the payment for unused days. Well good luck to this place with such a bad attitude, there will be a new tourist tomorrow. And under the windows of this room (room with spa bath tube) there is a recreation area for guests and staff, so their conversations will be heard directly to you. In addition, this is the next room from the reception desk. Therefore, there will be plenty of noise. Thanks for reading.

So happy with our choice. Clean rooms, a lot bigger than expected. Calm area. Breakfast is good. Staff is helpful and kind. Would reserve here again for our next trip.

You should be aware that the hotel is next to a mosque. The call of prayer will wake you up for sure at sunrise. It was not a big deal for us, but maybe not for you in you intend to sleep-in.

This is an excellent value hotel. We had ‘Urgup’ room which was very spacious but less like a ‘cave’ than other rooms. Strange layout with hall between bedroom and bathroom which had a random gym bench in it! Beautiful views from terrace. Comfy bed. Nice linens and pillows. Would absolutely recommend for the price.

The hotel is nice, good ambience. The rooms inside are also ver nice . The house keeping is terrible. We checked in on 20th and 21st we were out on a day trip. In our absence the beds were not made, the used wet towels not changed, room not cleaned. One has to make several requests to get water tea leaves sachets and milk powder. The person at the reception does not understand English either, very difficult to communicate. We were here for 2 nights. 22nd morning we are checking out.

I’m not the first time in Cappadoccia, but this trip was a special. First of all I’ve enjoyed the hotel and the village Mustafapaşa, which is in 2 km from the Urgup centre. The charming quiet place with a nice restaurants.
You will enjoy every detail in the hotel, starting from the door with an antique bell till your bed linen ))) and prices are affordable. The best combination of location, comfortable hotel with a Turkish breakfast and a price!
P.S. Strongly recommended for the artists, writers and creative people 👌🏼

The room was spacious and clean and the staff were super helpful. The owners even drove us to the airport themselves and brought back some souvenirs we left at a nearby restaurant by accident. They even waited for us to check-in at 3am. Overall a great experience.

We received an absolutely heartwarming welcome!! The family running the hotel are very sweet. They also offer to arrange the balloon tour, red/green/other tours of the area and pickup service from the airport.
The town itself is tiny and bit far from the main central towns, but staying there was very relaxing and calming for the mind.
