Balloon Cave Hotel in Goereme

A very cozy cave hotel, conveniently located within walking distance of the bustling town. Every morning at breakfast, the staff would greet us warmly. Although we couldn't go hot air ballooning due to the weather, we thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay in Cappadocia.

I really liked the hotel! Initially, I gave it 4 stars for cleanliness and amenities, but then I remembered it's a 3-star hotel with a corresponding price, so I didn't want to bring down the rating. It's atmospheric, cozy, with wonderful staff. There's a rooftop viewing platform and a restaurant for breakfast, and you can also spend time there waiting for your airport transfer after checking out. The breakfasts are good and tasty, with a decent selection, though the coffee wasn't great. The hotel's location is excellent – very quiet yet close to the city center. In the room, there's water, a tea set, and a minibar (which is paid and very expensive, but it wasn't an issue). There's heating, air conditioning, and I'd describe the furniture as vintage rather than worn out. However, the mattresses on the beds weren't comfortable. The bathroom has a good, powerful hairdryer and almost everything except for dental kits, though you might just need to ask for those. We booked excursions and transfers in advance through various online resources, so we didn't order them at the hotel. Overall, I recommend this hotel; it's very atmospheric and a pleasant place to stay. While there are some downsides, they are more than offset by the price.

The staff were incredibly kind and super efficient. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful. They were very helpful and attentive in assisting us with choosing activities and places to visit nearby. We truly felt welcomed. This accommodation is highly recommended, and we will definitely return.

A magnificent hotel. We were treated like no other. The hotel room was large, beautiful, and comfortable, as were the rest of the hotel facilities. The breakfast was excellent and had breathtaking views. We also had some last-minute problems with a tour agency, and they helped us and organized a tour that allowed us to enjoy Cappadocia. A unique place with stunning landscapes and very friendly people.

Staying here is never a mistake made. Everything is perfect - rooms, service & hospitality. They serve authentic Turkish breakfast and you can even customise it to fit your needs. Rauf looked after us very well & he even suggested some breakfast customisations on request. Fabulous experience overall!

Small hotel with perfect rooftop to overlook the beautiful Gerome’s views,  especially when the hot air balloon flies. Unfortunately, when we stayed here, all balloons were cancel due to the weather. The breakfast is outstanding and staff  are helpful.

A friend and I stayed here for a few nights and it was perfect. We requested 2 twin beds and (unlike most places) we actually got 2 twin beds. The service and hospitality was 10/10 from the time we arrived to the time we left. They even let us hang out on the rooftop terrace after check out when we had time to kill before leaving for the airport. Everyone was so kind and willing to help. They have security cameras and 24/7 staff to make sure you’re taken care of and safe. The breakfast was delicious and changed a little everyday. The rooftop terrace is perfect for hanging out and especially beautiful for the morning hot air balloons. Staying here, you’re a couple minute walk from the city center with plenty of good food recommendations from the staff. Would stay here again and highly recommend to others.

Stayed with my son for four nights. The location is easy walking distance to the center of town and restaurants. They were great to set up tours for us and airport shuttle pickup. They made it very easy. Staff were friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was delicious with a lot of variety. We also really enjoyed the upper deck where you can watch the balloons. Would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed at Balloon Cave Hotel for two nights and were thoroughly impressed. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. Every member of the team was welcoming and attentive, with special thanks to Ibrahim & Hussein at reception for his kindness and helpful nature.

The terrace offers breathtaking views over Göreme, especially at sunrise when dozens of hot air balloons float gracefully across the sky — truly unforgettable. The hotel’s location is ideal, just a short walk to Göreme City Centre, making it easy to explore shops, restaurants, and local attractions.

Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well‑appointed, with excellent amenities and room service available. Mornings began with a hearty breakfast featuring fresh, delicious options. The hotel also has a swimming pool (we didn’t use it, but it looked inviting) and offers booking services for local attractions. A thoughtful touch was their wake‑up call service, perfect for catching the magical early‑morning balloon flights from the terrace.

Overall, Balloon Cave Hotel combines comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality — a place we would gladly return to and highly recommend to anyone visiting Cappadocia.

The location is excellent. The rooftop offers stunning views of Goreme, and we captured many beautiful photos of the hot air balloons in the morning. My only minor complaint is that the mattress was too soft.
