Cunda Basel hotel in Ayvalik

Great stay with everything I needed within easy walking distance. The views were beautiful, especially over the sea, and the staff were consistently friendly, professional, and welcoming. Breakfast was a real highlight, delicious, fresh, and enjoyed with a gorgeous sea view. Thank you to everyone for the hospitality. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Cunda is such a wonderful, vibrant, but quaint island town with a laid back vibe...this hotel captures all of that! The rooms are nice, and look like they were recently remodeled. The pool is relaxing. Everything was super clean. The breakfast was wonderful. The owners and staff are amazing people. They make you feel like you've just come home to see family. We will definitely be visiting again!

We only thought to stay one night passing through the region, but loved the location, the staff, the food, and the area so much we extended our stay for the remainder of our time in Turkey! If you are considering visiting Ayvalik and/or Cunda Island, I highly recommend this local hotel villa and restaurant! Wonderful people! And there is access to a private beach and pool and is only a few minute walk to the south side of the island.

I was greeted by a nice gentleman who kindly showed me to my room, which he said was located far from the ones where guests arriving at night might disturb me — for that, thank you. However, as I was leaving the reception area, I slipped on a puddle of water and fell, soaking the pillows I brought with me. In the room, the Wi-Fi didn’t work. One of the networks isn’t properly configured, and the other one won’t connect. I reported this to reception and was told I could try any other network — but none of them reach the bedroom at all. If a hotel advertises Wi-Fi, it should work properly in the rooms. The provided pillows are honestly terrible — I’ve never seen anything like them — but thankfully I travel with my own. In short, that’s my review. And how can breakfast start at 9 a.m.? That’s just nonsense. Honestly.

I’ll continue my review over breakfast. I’m grateful for the room I was given — it offers a beautiful view. I might consider coming here with my family in the summer, maybe. Besides that, the breakfast is tasty, generous, and traditionally Turkish. Although some people say the beach isn’t great, in my opinion it’s perfectly fine. Overall, I’d rate it a four. To reach a five, they need to replace the pillows and improve the Wi-Fi. Thank you.

We received a courteous, respectful and friendly service from the pre-interviews on the phone before the holiday to the last moment of the holiday. Selda lady and cafeteria staff, who showed up all over the hotel, were very polite. Breakfast was varied and satisfying. It was also plentiful. It was a good idea to serve them to the table as opposed to the buffet style.

The hotel was new, clean and comfortable. It also has a beautiful architecture. Rooms, beds, bathroom and toilet were clean. Room design was useful. There may be a shortage of sunbeds as customers are taken from outside to the beach. The sea in front of the hotel is slightly mossy, but the left side is completely sandy. If you get bored at the beach, you can take a nap in the cool air on the swings under the bougainvillea and fig trees and taste the wonderful taste of figs.

Good hotel by the water. Comfy rooms staff is pretty nice. You can have your own beach to yourself most of the time. The sea is usually clean but sometimes it gets murky when the wind is blowing. But this expected. Proximity to a Windsurf school makes it even more appealing.
