Held Hotel Kaleici in Antalya

located in the quiet part of the old town and close to everything. the room is old with questionable décor. a dog would bark at random hours in the lobby.
all in all, an okay place for sleeping before you go about your way. I stayed here for a while and didn't try to book another hotel

It was the worst hotel experience I have ever had! Just stay away from here!

What a big disappointment!
They have become greedy and clever!
I had stayed quite a few times with Held Hotel during coronavirus. The hotel is an older hotel in a beautiful Historic area. When their hotel was empty, they were of course very polite and reasonably priced.
The rooms are quaint but quite small and showers in each room leaked cold water while trying to take a hot shower.
I also had 2 episodes in my last 2 visits where i was electrically zapped while showering! The hose from the electric water heater is metal and the hand held showerhead is plastic (no showerhead holders) and the boxes all leak or spray water out of the fittings back towards the electric heater/power box. I told the owner and his son (the first time) and it took 2 days! to get it attended to....and even after the "repair"...it had the same problem! So i was forced to take cold showers!
I literally could have been electricuted!!!
On my Last (and i do mean my Last visit), i pre booked my room. I was told only double rooms were available which were nearly double my previous stay price for a single room. Hoping they had solved the electrical problem, i reluctantly booked. Upon my arrival before i could even put my bags down, i was Badgered for my passport and payment (i quickly discovered why). I requested the key and to be allowed to see my room and drop my bags. The son became frustrated, took the key and placed it on his desk and demanded my passport and payment first (remember, i am a returning customer in good standing). I took the key, gave him my passport and took my bags to my room. When i opened the door, i was angry....i had been given a Tiny! single room with a bathroom so small i had to squeeze between the toilet and sink to access the toilet!
Shower squirted water from the hoses and electrical problem was in this room as well (this is what happens when shawdy leaking fittings squirt water into an electrical box.....DUH!). I returned to the desk and politely asked if i had been given the wrong room. I was told no its a double room. When i angrily re-assured him i knew due to previous stays, it was not, he replied, well its the only room we have available! Basically admitting he knew the room was a single but i was going to be charged for a double because they could.
I paid for 1 night and canceled the rest of my booking.
There are other Budget hotels (example Cinar) very near by so, no need to book with liars and people so stingy they are willing to risk your safety!
If you do choose to book especially for more than one day, you will have to push them to change the sheets daily and clean the floors. They Never clean under beds or furniture! Move a bed and see. And Heater/AC filter disgusting!

We stayed at Held Hotel in Antalya between 15.06.2018-22.06.2018.
Negative points:- I booked 2 duble rooms with a double bed and we received one room with three beeds and one room with a double bed;
- The rooms and the bathrooms are very small;
- There is no refrigerator in the room, you can use the one that is outside in the backyard and that everyone uses.
-The hair dryer in our room was broken, in my mom's room the hair dryer was missing;
-A lot of noise during the day and the night because of the pubs and restaurants that are close by.
-Only one person from the staff knows english therefore the communication was difficult.
Strong points: -The owner and the staff are nice and will help you with anything you need.
-The location is close to the harbour.
