Sunland Resort Hotel Beldibi in Beldibi

This is not a 5 star hotel. The room was ok except the bathroom which had not been cleaned. Black mold in shower, rotten door where water had leaked down side of bath. Black mold under sink rim and extractor fan not working. No kettle in room on arrival and no milk to make tea or coffee. Mini bar a joke with one bottle of water per day. The hotel did do a deep clean in the bathroom which improved it enough for us to use, however we did not exspect to have to point out general cleanliness to a so called 5 star hotel. Pool and outside area was good except sun bed covers , which were dirty. Drinks are a joke, wine was ok but cocktails made with cheap ingredients. No waitress service around pool and being asked to use flimsey paper cups was unaceptable. Food ok but breakfast included chips, mashed potato and cauliflour. This hotel does not really cater for British people, and is maily frequented by Russians. The massage I recieved was top class however, the spa facilities were dated and the toilets and changing rooms dirty. All in all not a great experiance for an all inclusive hotel.

We are currently staying here (October), it was pleasant enough but we won't be going back. The hotel itself is rated as a 5 star, but it is very much a 3 star AT A PUSH. The staff know very little English, some are helpful, most aren't, and pretty much all of them show a great lack of pride or care for both the clientelle and their jobs.

FACTS:
- Kemer appears to attract about 90% Russian / 10% English tourists
- Very few staff speak even basic English so you will need to know basic Russian or Turkish
- The beach is packed
- Pool is not heated
- The sea is warmer than the pool
- Sun disappears behind the hill about 16.30

POSITIVES:
- Beautiful building from the outside and a good layout
- Nice beach / pier with sunbeds
- Good wifi coverage around the hotel
- Gay friendly (I think)
- No need to reserve sunbeds, there's always some free
- Nice lobby and inside bar area
- The beach bar lunch was ok
- A FEW shops within walking distance

NEGATIVES:
- The majority of staff lack basic English
- The bathrooms contain black mould
- No holiday reps
- Paid ironing service only, at roughly €3 per item
- No English entertainment
- The food is pretty bland or VERY salty, but there's the occasional nice thing
- The soft drinks all seem to taste of salt
- The bar staff don't have basic bar knowledge, they will add surprise ingredients to your standard cocktails and it's a gamble at whether you get a plastic, glass or paper cup and what size it will be; that's after you've waited at the bar for 5 minutes because only 1 very confused bar tender will be serving whilst the rest stare at you.
- The alcohol won't even get you tipsy, believe me I tried!
- Broken amenities. Ie. Our balcony was damaged and the railing was loose (family room), the flush on the toilet was broken but did work, there are tiles missing all over the place
- Hygiene standards would have the place shut down in the UK, Spain or France. Ie. When we got into the room the bins weren't empty, there was a yoghurt lid on the balcony. Some glasses are dirty. The pool is salty...but its not salt water
- 2 of the 3 a la cartés were closed for our stay
- The ice cream is not ice cream and I don't even know how to begin to describe the flavours
- The managers are nearon verbally abusive to the staff
- You are a captive audience, there is very little escape
- The excursions are overpriced (you can haggle), miss-sold and underdeliver
- I know you can't drink the tap water, but I'm pretty sure its not meant to be salty (which is another indicator they are watering down drinks)
- The room alway smelt of cigarette smoke after it had been turned down!

Hope this helps in your decision making. Personally, I probably won't go back to Kemer.

Advice to management:
- Implement basic bar management and training
- Employ employees with basic English, they are 10% of your clientelle, that's a large chunk in investment terms!
- Adopt a help and encourge one another approach to service
- Stop watering down drinks
- Improve your hygiene standards

Hello to whoever is reading this message, I strongly suggest you think twice before booking this hotel. Out of the 5 stars it claims to have, it might deserve 2 at best. I have many complaints, but I will just mention the main ones:
1. The bathroom is a disaster – the cleanliness is non-existent. The water isn’t even suitable for brushing your teeth; it has a terrible smell that I can’t even describe. Taking a shower with this water feels unsafe, I was honestly afraid of getting an infection.
2. The room cleanliness is also zero. The cleaning staff only changes the towels and does nothing else. I once left a t-shirt on the bed, and when I came back, it was on the floor – unbelievable! The fridge in my room didn’t work during my entire stay. I reported it to the staff, they promised to fix it, but nothing was ever done. The cleaner only changes the towels and does nothing else .
3. The “All Inclusive” is a joke. Yes, drinks are unlimited, but only beer, a few basic cocktails, orange juice, cherry juice, Pepsi, water, and coffee from a machine (espresso or macchiato). And you have to go to the bar yourself to get everything.
4. The food is very average. If I had to rate it from 1–10, I’d give it maybe a 6. It’s repetitive and boring – almost the same every day with little variation.
5. The pool is not clean at all. It seems like there’s no filtration system, and there’s not even the usual smell of chlorine.

There are many more things I could mention, but these are the main issues. If you are reading this, my honest advice is: go somewhere else. Better to pay a little more and have proper conditions than waste your money here.

Not the place to go rude people non speaking English staff nooooo divesty considering its north Africa .Drinks very limited. Ask for beach towel wasted its too late. Arrive late day 1 and went hungry this is a Russian hotel with very rude distasteful people not a five star ..repeat is Not no iron in room you have to pay and room I won't comment dirty with stained towels and a foul smell in room .save me its home time day 4 out of seven. Even a holiday inn has better standards don't believe photo or 5 stars reviews clearly THESE ARE PEOPLE USE TO BASIC AND NOT custom to real FIVE star experience!

The hygiene of the hotel is 0, the staff is few, and those who work are very rude. Hotel management does not exist. They were not interested in solving all the objections we made. The rooms are dirty, you bring water to the room yourself, because the refrigerator does not fill. There are not enough plates, there is a 20-minute wait in the lines for breakfast and dinner. You forget that the Internet exists, if you're lucky, you might be able to connect for a short time in the lobby. I don't know who gave this hotel 5 stars, it doesn't even deserve 3. Otherwise, I spend the summer in Turkey every year and I have never experienced such a disappointment. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

Worst hotel ever seen, no AC, dirty, bad housekeeping, 30 queues at bar in the evening...

Don’t come here under any circumstances!
Hotel is 2 stars in reality,hygiene is very poor,rooms and bathrooms discusting!
They changed our towels 2x in 10 days.
Everything is very dirty.
Food very bad and the dishes,the restaurant also very dirty.
Stuff unfriendly.
They don’t speak a word of english.
If you don’t come to beach till 8am ,you don’t get a place,and they say we’re sorry,and that’s it .
But they don’t give you your money back.
Terrible!
Never again.
We came home stressed out and tired.
Shame for this country and they tourism!

Not satisfied at all... Poor standard of cleaning in rooms, on territory and especially in 'restaurant'.. Dirt everywhere, honestly! How can they work like that and welcome new guests every day? We thought they work for food, not getting payd.. Same employees/servants rotating in different posts all day long. They almost don't care how it all looks like. Probably they lack lot's of items and tools (very short in towels in rooms and spa/beach, no vacuuming in our room, brolen items like lamp bulbs, forks-knives always missing, the only material for all drinks everywhere in hotel is carbon!) Such rottening starts from 'head' - from management! It must be their problem. We saw some 'managers' walking around every day, all day - why don't they see all that dirt and disorder? Why they don't teach their stuff and give them proper tools and clean shirts? Why can't they pay motivating salary? We felt sorry for the workers - only for tips they had streangth to smile and do a little better. Our room had 1 big towel for 4 persons, 2 dead bulbs, 1 brolen lamp, dust and dirt around room - I wrote down to reception 4 elementary things to properly clean and change in our room, but they barely filled 2 of them. Necessary towels I asked myself from a cleaning-lady on corridor next day. They changed only 1 towel in our room for entire 1 week stay of 4 persons! It was very hard to eat in that dirty 'canteen' when seeing dirty uncleaned chairs and tables and floors and walls/windows, really! The places we had to ask drinks and take coffee/tea - they where very messy and dirty, every single day, all day long.. On our 3rd day we agreed not to wonder anymore, but to accept the poor standard and try to relax and enjoy the positive - clean pools, good location very near to the wonderful sea, the sun and close by mountins and Kemer. This hotel really needs full renovation and staff teaching and new management with open eyes and wish to welcome guests and do better!
