Miarosa Konakli Garden in Konakli

We have just returned from a week stay that was booked last minute to escape some recent stress. For what we wanted it was ok and we made sure we had a good time. However, if we had booked and looked forward to this over a number of months I would have been really upset about the state of the hotel. The pool is a good size and the slides are great fun for the kids. Being in Sept/Oct beds weren't too much of an issue to get but a lot were broken or ripped. The food wasn't great and the restaurant was an absolute nightmare unless you waited till later for things to calm down, and this was on quieter days. On our last days 3 coaches of guests arrived which caused chaos! There was no where to sit, when you did get a table there was no cutlery and the queue for food meant it was cold by the time you sat down. The staff couldn't keep up. Breakfast was awful and we ate pancakes or toasties, unless you're a fan of chips for breakfast. There are 2 small lifts in the foyer which could not cope with the amount of guests. You would queue for a lift and it skip the floor or people would barge infront of you. It resulted in older people struggling to use the stairs. Cleanliness was the biggest issue. The rooms were not cleaned and only the beds made. The first 2 days we had clean towels and other than that we had to go and ask for clean towels. The next day the 'cleaner' would take them and not replace them. We were made to feel an inconvenience when asking for them and that they only change them every 3 days. The air con worked well in the room and the balcony meant we could watch the entertainment from there in the evening rather than being downstairs completely away from the bar. Drinks are in a very small, flimsy plastic cup and not much to choose from. We had a really good time and made the most of it, but I would definitely not go back.
