This hotel is located right next to the F1 track in Abu Dhabi, and the building itself is very striking. The rooms directly face the track, so even without a race, you can still soak up some of the atmosphere. The bathtub wasn't working very well, which was the only downside.

Was upgraded to a premium trackside room, big thanks to the friendly front desk staff for their help!

The hotel's biggest advantage is its location right on the Yas Marina Circuit. However, our room was on the second floor, and the large balcony obstructed the view of the track. If you want a good view of the circuit from your room, it's best to request a room on the third floor or higher. Check-in was very quick. During the Chinese New Year, there were many Chinese guests, and we even received special chocolate gifts. There are also many Indian guests at the hotel, and the breakfast offers a dedicated Indian section. Of course, there's Chinese food too, though not a huge variety. They had spring rolls, stir-fried rice noodles with Laoganma chili crisp and pickled mustard, and steamed fish which was decent. The pan-fried dumplings were the most popular; a fresh plate would be half-gone by the time I looked away. You can order eggs made to your liking; I had Eggs Benedict two days in a row. Breakfast gets very crowded, but you get a great view of a large section of the racetrack, which is fantastic. The shuttle service to the theme parks is very convenient and available at all times. However, to get to the actual racetrack, you'll need a taxi, which was reasonably priced at 12 dirhams.

2. There are many races scheduled on this track. We even saw a car race on the day we checked in. While it wasn't F1, it was still a feast for any racing enthusiast.
3. The hotel's breakfast was good, though quite crowded. We even got to watch a car race during breakfast, as the dining area is right next to the track.
4. The hotel is very conveniently located close to Abu Dhabi's attractions, with Ferrari World, the Aquarium, Warner Bros. World, and more right nearby.

I ordered room service. The next day, I called twice for them to pick up the trolley, but no one came. In the end, I had to order another dessert just so they would come and take it away.

Our stay at the W Abu Dhabi - Yas Island was, overall, top-notch and truly a benchmark for trendy luxury hotels. Being here during the F1 season really highlighted the hotel's advantages – our room overlooked the Yas Marina Circuit, so we could clearly see the cars doing test laps without even needing to go to the grandstands. The subtle roar of the engines created an incredibly intense race atmosphere, which was a huge thrill for any motorsports fan.
What was surprisingly good was the soundproofing. Once the windows were closed, you could barely hear the outside roar, and the room remained quiet, perfect for a restful sleep. The half-board package we booked, which included dinner, was also quite good. There was a wide selection of dishes, catering to both international tastes and local specialties, and the service was attentive, prompt, and naturally friendly.
The hotel's environment maintained its usual high standards, boasting a very stylish design. The themed decorations during the holidays were well thought out; the Halloween-specific decor added a playful touch to the common areas without feeling forced. The location is also very convenient. All in all, it was a comfortable stay that met all our expectations.

We had a very enjoyable stay. Upgrade the room for better track view and got the room at 9am. The breakfast is superb. The location is so convenient and close to all the attractions. Highly recommended.

I’m still shocked as I write my review. We booked our stay for the weekend and aside from it being busy it seemed like the staff had no idea what they were doing or how to handle anything. The only redeemable person was Omar who worked at the check in. Breakfast was super chaotic; long lines with people cutting in front of you and the staff not able to handle the situation at all and once you made it inside the restaurant you realize there were many empty tables. Multiple wrong orders even though they have cards for you to fill out with table numbers. They have an “elite” area for platinum members but no kids allowed; absolutely ridiculous. So many staff but no coherence at all. We asked for an outdoor heater to be moved next to our table with three little kids all under 8 as it was pretty cold in the evening and the staff told us there was no more propane so he can’t bring us one. So we told them there’s one just nearby that he can move over and he refused to move it and told us that’s only for the a la carte customers. What an absolute shame so we just left. I can’t believe they kept telling us the W stood for warm, welcoming and witty, more like an absolute wreck. There’s a kids club with a 2 hour per day limit which is honestly optically nice but a bit dirty. The hotel itself is so beautiful with amazing views and the rooms are impeccable but the service, minus the housekeeping staff who are very kind, is an absolute disaster; It just left us so disappointed, definitely not coming back.

But, what made it all the more special, was the service. When we were in the hotel, we spent most of our time on the Wet Deck (rooftop bar & pool on Floor 9) and the attentiveness, the friendliness and the professionalism meant we could not ask for more. A very special shout out to the Wet Deck Team: Roshan, Animesh, Eric, Chie, Joshua, Neeyas, Neha, Brandon & Otymane. An outstanding team, who went the extra mile to make our stay so wonderful. Also a shout out to Saiful, one of the waiters at breakfast and the team in the W Lounge - Jo, Sanjan, Levie, Nan, Mimi, Martina, Daniel, Nikki, Jaimie and Dheeraj who also all went out of their way for us.
