It was my ferist time to visit Ukrane . Overall it was a positive experience .The Hotel was comfortable with good location near to public transportation,circus and shopping facilities. The chick in and out were easy, the staff were very helpful,the room was clean and comfortable with square view.The breakfasts were tasety with a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits . I really enjoyed my stay and recommend this hotel to travellers.

Upon checking into this hotel, I found that my room had only one water bottle while my friend, who was also traveling alone, had two water bottles in his room. Upon notifying reception, the receptionist was reluctant to give me a second bottle. I further asked for two extra pillows, but was only brought one. The initial shortcomings were representative of the entire stay at the Premier Hotel Lybid, one that may have lived up to its name during the regime of the Soviet Union but to today’s standards is entirely unacceptable. Poor insulation of the walls allows a guest to hear all sounds from the street, and the hallways. Forgot about sleeping in, the curtains are too thin to block the sunlight, a standard far too common in Ukraine but not among European-owned hotels. The bed is uncomfortable, the sheets starchy, and the pillows incredibly cheap and low quality. Furthermore, hotel service is rude and generally unhelpful. The only acceptable attribute of this hotel is the lobby, which is elegant to Soviet standards, and the elevators, which light up and make a cool beeping noise when you press the button. The location is decent, but right above a busy road which you will be certain to hear from your outdated and poorly decorated room. I would not advise any visitor to Kyiv to stay in this hotel even for one night, despite the low prices that Premier Hotel Lybid offers.

Good located hotel. The bar is really 24/7, breakfast is good, wide selection. The A/C wasn't working, in my room there was 28-29 degrees in September!!!Staff ready to help, but they are not too kind. The business room was OK, the rest is waiting to get refurbished.

The hotel looks beautiful from the outside, as does the ground floor and reception area - but everything changes once you reach the corridor and your room.
I think 1990 is the date these rooms were created and they have not been changed since. It is clean, but nothing interesting. Parking is tragic, for about 20 cars max and there is always a problem with it. Security doesn't speak English, ladies on reception are very unpleasant when you try to speak English - they know barely.

Having stayed at this hotel for two nights, the down sides were;
1- The carpet and walls were very dirty and need urgent decorating.
2-There was a bottle of carbonated water which was inconvenient as not everyone prefers carbonated water.
3-Discovered a bug in my room which may be an indication of poor housekeeping.
The up sides were;
1-Good price compared to other hotels available in the city
2-Clean bathroom
3-Breakfast was average but could definitely be improved with more choices.

You're welcomed by not very open-minded old-fashioned security guys instead of smiling porters. The reception desk is very helpful and client-oriented, however, none out of staff welcomes you in Ukrainian unless you do. The breakfast menu is a bit old-fashioned and the doorman asks every person to name the room which is a bit weird. Good value for location just in Kyiv downtown , 10 min. to metro station Vokzalna and so the main railway station.

It's fine to spend here a few days while being in Kiev, but nothing special. Built in old Soviet style, reminds me of the 80s. Maybe nothing has changed here since then. The staff was quite nice compared to an average person living in this country. The room was ok, but could be better. I only gave 4 stars because the city center can be easily approached.

Service is good and staff speak English. Rooms, are typical old Soviet style. They are however, clean and relatively comfortable. Excellent security and location to the main street
