excellent service as always, late check-in, the restaurant was supposed to close, but we were allowed to order food in advance, and upon arrival the food was ready. The staff speaks English, it is clean and comfortable as always. my favorite hotel because of the cozy atmosphere :) Yulia Ukraine🇺🇦, Richard England 🇬🇧. Ukraine will win 💙💛

excellent room with comfortable bed. hotel staff is really great, they unlocked my safe box within minutes of contacting them. breakfast was great too.

This hotel has a beautiful lobby...but to rate it 5 stars (as it rates itself) is going
way overboard! (My room (709) needed bathroom ceiling repairs, for example.)

The Mgr claims she has a hard time finding English-speaking staff due to the wartime exodus of Ukrainians. This made communicstion with the staff challenging.

Inna, the restaurant hostess, was very pleasant and helpful.

The bomb shelter, located near the sauna, had excessive water on the floor and towels and glassware...remnants of a party which had not been cleaned up...over a couple day period.

I think many things could be improved in the hotel, as noted.

Hotel in the center of Odessa. 700 meters to Deribasovskaya. The rooms are small, but cozy. The bathroom is also very small, very large people will have problems. Perhaps there are rooms with larger bathrooms, you need to check. The staff is very responsive and attentive. Breakfasts are decent, the presence of strong alcohol made me smile. Just wonderful. The staff is friendly and attentive. There is nothing to say about the interior and cleanliness - it is just super perfect! I advise everyone to try the brain dish in the hotel restaurant, it is super delicious, special thanks to the chef for this dish from me!!! You have conquered me with everything. I will definitely try to visit you again

A wonderful small hotel in the city center. Very atmospheric and with its own twist. The rooms are very clean and interestingly decorated. Very friendly staff. With all this level of cordiality and hospitality - I will be happy to return to you again.

I spent a week here and it was great. The hotel is well located. The breakfast was pretty good and the bed super comfortable. If I were to complain, it would be that the balcony is not a real balcony. However, at the price point that I paid, I cannot complain. I would recommend this hotel.

A very comfortable hotel in the centre of Odesa - very convenient to everything. The hotel staff was very professional and helpful. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and nicely presented. Overall, I would strongly recommend the Hotel California.
