A very pleasant stay with Marriott, as always. Sizable room for a group of 4. The breakfast is exceptionally good. Central location allows us to travel between U of Bristol and Watershed easily.

Front Desk Staff was Excellent - I raised a concern when a member of Miller & Carter Restaurant said the main restaurant was closing this was at 2045 and she tried and confined us to a table not of our choice we advised if that was the only table she could offer then we would not dine there - there was 3 of us.

I informed the young lady at the front desk and she was understood and said she will speak as the restaurant was not closed.

I like the Grand Marriott it’s one of my Favourite Hotel the point above is not a negative review it’s to reiterate the Hotel Staff look after there Guests and are good listeners.

Gorgeous hotel in a central location .Offers comfortable rooms and all the amenities. An excellent restaurant is the main attraction.

The good things about the hotel were its location. Close to restaurants, a famous Banksy or two, lots of shops and theatres. Is a beautiful hotel with nice places to sit and meet if you are in a group. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The car park, despite being £17 per night, was actually better value than other options nearby and we were able to leave the car there until midnight on the day of check out.

The negatives were that we were not able to get a reservation in the hotel restaurant which we found unusual. We had a group from 8 to 80 so we were worried about walking yet had no choice as they couldn’t fit us in. They were also impossible to contact as they didn’t reply to messages. There was chaos at check in with guests waiting for up to an hour to check in and get their keys. There were long queues for over two hours from 3pm to at least 5pm. Their excuse was that the hotel was fully booked but it’s not as though they didn’t know all those people were coming! They should have been prepared and there were a lot of unhappy customers that Saturday evening. Some front desk staff were flustered and sorry but couldn’t do anything about it and some didn’t seem to care. We were there a bit earlier so they could have got the process started but they wouldn’t so we had to queue twice. We were quite fed up. Even after all that and me paying £68 for 4 cars I had to keep repeating that I had already paid that and the next day.

Something in the system needs to change as it’s frustrating to spend 2 hours checking in when you are only staying for 1 night.
Perhaps if they are expecting so many people again they could put out tea and coffee in the tea lounge with a screen to enter and pay for your car and then have some kind of ticket system where you are called to the desk when it’s your turn.
It certainly needs better management as it’s not the welcome you expect when you’ve paid to stay in the Marriott brand.

All was okay.. could do with better gym facilities...also could do with better food and beverages.

Everything is okay, the Bradford is good. The bed is comfortable, the room is normal, the toilet is not very clean. But the door cannot be closed softly, which causes a little bit danger

Super friendly staff, good people watching spot outside, (weather permitting), coffee a little cold, cups need warming first.

Popped in for coffee and cake. Excellent Belgian Tart (that's the cake, I mean!). Great waterfront location.

We were there on Sunday just between breakfast and lunch, it was 11:15am. For welcome the waiter sad to us you have 20 min to ordered breakfast so few of us did it strait away. Half hour later we tried to order from the lunch menu but we were told at 12. Any way half of us left hungry and disappointed.

A quiet blustery Sunday, but the room feels nice. Friendly service, nice food. Superior fish & chips and a nice glass of wine. Just what I had in mind!
02.09.2017 Kat
The food was good and the service was ok. Only grumble was the toilets.. of the 4 one was broken (and according to the sign had been for 6 weeks) one had no light and one had no loo roll. It was 7pm and the place was almost empty no excuse.

Bouncers are rude, and and if your not an english man they pick and choose if you come in or not. And when you ask why they make out your attitude is why. When in reality their is no reason. Wouldnt set food in the place, complete flop of a club, when you treat customers bad!
06.11.2017 Zoe
Wouldnt step foot near the place again . Some of the staff there are racist, irrational, damn right rude and have no knowledge of discrimination or equality and human rights. My partner and his friends who are albanian got refused entry , when asked why they got told it was until they proved 'they were legal in this country and had papers' before this was even asked we were queing up in the line quietly & not one word was said to the members of staff working. None of us were drunk!! When we all were clearly shocked by this and angry that someone could be that rude we asked what they had done and that was discriminatory behaviour to which the bouncer said 'i dont like your attitude' changing his tune (hilarious as we hadnt spoken one word previous)& what it appears to be the manager asking us to step away as we 'wouldnt want to be in a fight with this guy' absolutely barbaric. Door men are supposed to keep you safe as a member of public not threaten us & discriminate us because of how we look and where we are born. Just to clarify my partner is legal in this country as is his friends, and evidence was provided but still not accepted. I have asked for this to be looked into and reported back from the manager to which i got told 'they have a different take than we do and it was not up for discussion' a cop out at its best, guilt and definitely not a good enough explanation of this poor, disgusting behaviour.
