I needed a single room last minute. Very responsible prices. Hotel is obviously dated but cosy in a vinted kind of way and the room and hotel was clean. Nice conservatory area where you can have breakfast. Had a lovely view of the river and the park. Continental breakfast included - again no frills but perfectly adequate. For the price I paid it was better than expected and fantastic central location.

This was my second stay at the hotel in a single room 114. I decided to stay again as it was very good value and a fairy short walk into Cambridge. I had a different single room than before and it was Ok. It had a decent shower and a comfortable bed. I was very cosy. The room had T and coffee facilities, and a T pot that I greatly appreciated during my last stay. I had a better view in this single room which was nice. It is a short walk to the shops, bus stop and the museums. As I was visiting cultural venues it’s a great positioned hotel not far from The Cambridge Museum and the Castle. I really liked staying in this hotel. I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was very good value with really good ham, fresh fruit and yoghurts, nice muffins ext. there is plenty of spaces available to relax in the hotel. If you like 90s retro the spaces are great! The staff were very helpful and I stowed luggage so that I could visit Cambridge. It’s a great value hotel for solo travellers so please keep a good price for us! A very good stay here I will be back. The images you see are of the hotel reception area, room114, the view from the window, T and coffee and images of the walk from the hotel into the Fitzwilliam Museum, Newtons apple tree and Universities. A very brilliant walk unlike no other! Thanks hotel for a great stay. I will be back ❤️

Great location and parking, but you will get charged £18 through here or third party. That stung.
Room okay and quiet, but not the cleanest I've been too.
Reception did sales talk for restaurant, say rather full and book early, a con, there was 1 person eating.
Meal was fair but over priced.
Had to wait over 10 minutes to pay and that because I got up and waited at the terminal.
Regarding the car park, you don't even get 24hrs, I was advised you be charged an additional £2.50 per hour after 11.30am.
That has really left a bad taste.
I would choose this if book direct at the right price, but I have definitely been to alot of better hotels in the UK. 4/10.

This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at in the UK, much better than other £100 rooms in other cities. The environment is excellent. It is located right opposite the river where we could walk around, and there was a beautiful backyard where guests could sit and enjoy food and drinks.

The breakfast they offered was very nice, with plenty of choices. It was very peaceful and enjoyable just spending the morning there; you can really feel how a perfect morning should start in Cambridge.

The staff was also very helpful. They carried my luggage up and down the stairs during check‑in and check‑out.

As for the location, it is just a few hundred metres away from the River Cam and other viewpoints, most of which you can reach on foot. Other than that, the facility was well equipped, everything works perfectly without any malfunction happened.

Overall, it was a great experience staying there, and I would definitely recommend it to others if I get the chance.

Excellent location (10 mins away from King's Parade and the city centre), but a rather dated hotel. Cleanliness was also poor with lots of hair in the bathroom and on the carpet upon entering. Still decent value for money and is suitable for short stays.

Everything else was good, it's just that the facilities are a bit old, and the desk lamp wasn't working properly.

A nice, comfortable large house hotel with reasonably priced rooms. However, beware: if booking through a third party such as Trip.Com you will be stung for extortionate car parking charges - £30 for a day and a half we were charged. 😠Friendly, accommodating staff. Basic continental breakfast included in the room price.

Cant fault the location. Ended up with a canal side room. It's nice looking out into Cambridge. Easy walk into Cambridge and easy to get to from A14

Room was a nice size, smallish TV. A bit run down really. I tried to work out when I think it was last renovated. I suspect it wasn't this century. I know they want to keep the traditional feel but the washed out photos in old frames can be changed without impacting that.

Bed was good though. Mattress was nice and comfortable. No plugs on the bedside tables. Powerbank relay for charging phones.

Breakfast is basic. Full English is extra but I suspect you can get cheaper in Cambridge.

Compared with others the price is probably about right for what we paid. Having parking available is bonus too as not many seem to have it.

I would stay again but if it was much more than what we paid, I probably wouldn't

Staffs were very rude. They don’t have any sense of customer service and hospitality. And goes what, I arrived for a breakfast at 8:30 am and there’s nothing left and I had to go outside and eat outside. The hotel staff were arguing rather than solving the matters. It is just not the right fit am with their arrogance and in tourism sector. Very poor and not recommended.

Really cold sitting near the window with a huge party. Main course was smaller than expected. Wouldn’t come here again.

Nice italian place with good wine selection and great pasta dishes. Pizza only so so.

Good Swordfish and nice lamb meat. Seafood risotto was also very nice. The tiramissu and coffee with amaretto was lovely.

Nice location (the restaurant is located along the river). Nevertheless I found it closed several nights during the week (even if in the website it's written that it's closed only on Mondays...). Moreover after 21.30 you can order just pizzas....

Our group of five arrived for lunch and were warmly welcomed. The service throughout was friendly and efficient, but never pushy. The food was very good, particularly the salads and the beautifully presented desserts. The location is lovely. This is a restaurant I definitely want to re-visit soon.
