The receptionist was warm and welcoming, and the hotel itself has a really trendy vibe. The bar staff had great energy, and the room décor was stylish with a very comfortable bed.
However, on closer look the room felt a bit worn - ripped wallpaper, holes in the tiles, the shower coming away from the wall and a grubby sink. From around 4am to 8am there was constant noise from the room above due to squeaky floorboards, and outside the window there were loud disturbances all night, which made it hard to sleep.
The shower was hot and powerful, but checkout was difficult as no one was at reception and I had to search for a staff member. The receptionist apologised and mentioned we could have contacted the night manager via WhatsApp, but this wasn’t communicated to us.
There’s so much potential here - some maintenance, better soundproofing and a reception bell would make a big difference.
I’m hoping for some kind of goodwill refund!

Location is great, room is dark and many lights are not working, shower is so small i had to bend ro fit in. Noise of vents all night long and breakfast is just horrible!

Second time visiting this gorgeous hotel. Clean throughout and very friendly staff. Will definitely stay again when visiting Manchester and highly recommended

Hotel which definitely had his glory and needs an update.
Uncomfortable bed, stained bed throw and mold in the bathroom didn’t add anything positive to my stay .

Reception gentleman was rude, Lifts didnt work, so you had to walk up 3x stairs to go and leave rooms (*quite annoying with Baggage). WI-FI was very poor, and ended up having to pay for an EE service to do anything. Screen Sharing didnt work! Overall, really bad experience......

A well decorated boutique hotel ; the room was elegant and the bed was very comfortable ; room was not very big in comparison to the bed size; nice canal view but some noise from outside though the windows were double glazed. Generally good but slightly overpriced ( comparing with the apartment hotel next to Piccadilly station).

Loved to eat here a couple of times a day. Very good choice of quality food at great prices.

I love subway! This place was a good quality subway however one of the staff almost just toasted the big beef melt without microwaving it. All Subways I've been always microwave and then toast it along with the bread and cheese. I sorted it out though and had a good meal but I forgot to get my subcard scanned, I wish staff would ask if i have a card when I'm paying.
