Enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Albany hotel. Nothing was to much trouble for them. Would definitely stay here again.

Had a pleasant night at the hotel, for a night at the Playhouse,which was very close, check in was quick and easy and the hostess was nice a friendly, room was clean and tidy and to a good standard, 2 minor niggles I had. £100 deposit was taken upon arrival which takes 4-5 business days to be put back in your account, parking outside the hotel is priced at £5 per hour if you can find a space

This hotel was in a great location. 5 minutes walk from the shopping mall. 2 minutes walk from the tram stop and only 10 minutes walk to some of the main attractions in Edinburgh. The staff at the desk were extremely polite and helpful and even looked after our bags when we checked out so we could go and see another sight in Edinburgh before leaving. The only downside is due to this being an old building there was no elevator available which didn’t affect us but would be an issue for elderly or disabled people.

The room has no air conditioning, so it's hot; you need to borrow a fan.
The room is only average-sized; it feels cramped once you open your luggage compartment.
There was no hot water in the bathroom. I reported it to the receptionist, who just told me to press a button and try again, but didn't come to fix it personally. I finally found the switch myself and solved the problem.
The curtain cover fell down for no reason, which startled me.
The experience was just okay; I probably wouldn't come again.

This place has a really nice vibe, inside is dark and rough but decorated well. The staff were super friendly and we got 2 mains courses for £12 which was a great deal as the food was delicious. This is a great spot for lunch or a dinner date.

Love it here- great for a meal or a few drinks! Wide selection of beers and cocktails. Cosy atmosphere. Small outdoor area for smokers! The guacamole is delishious!

Booked in for a show at the Playhouse and looked around for decent eateries close by. We both like Mexican so gave this place a try.
Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Ordered a few plates along with their signature guacamole which they make in from of you at the table.
Mrs is veggie and had the veg fajitas which she loved.
I had ordered the duck taquitas and fish tacos and both were amazing.
We had got the traditional Mexican cake for dessert which was also fantastic.
Food was fresh and tasty, spicy without blowing your head off.
Drinks were also great and cocktails fresh and imaginative.
Stand out cocktail for me was the kiwi and jalapeno which sounds a strange mix but was absolutely fantastic.

The quesadillas did not seem to have any queso. The food is interesting I suppose ingredients wise, but could be better and take the same amount of time to come out.

Pretty much unchanged over the years, small and lively basement bar. Good place to kick the night off and sample tequila! Grest fish tacos!

The food was good but overly spicy and I eat a lot of indian food so that's saying something. They didn't offer water refills, I had to ask after completely finishing my first glass. Other than that the service was good.

Rubbish. Ordered Chilli Green Chicken and a Chicken Bhuna and they were unbelievably bland. So watery. Straight in the bin. If you want a nice Indian takeaway try Lazeez.

Excellent, every time I come to Edinburgh I have to visit zest. The food is excellent and the taxi driver special is too die for. Flavours are unbelievable and staff are so attentive and professional

Went there last night with my wife for her birthday. Fantastic place. Not just the excellent menu and food , but the welcome and service really go the extra mile. Will definitely be returning when in Edinburgh next. A real pleasure.

Always go here for the annual family dinner and they always do a good job. Quite clearly a family run business as the staff go head over heals to tend to their customers every need. Really could not fault these guys.

15 of us dined at this restaurant. Service very good, food delivered on time, good selection on the menu. Great staff , with recently refurbished surroundings. The Lunch Club AYR walkers.

Lovely food, service was good did not have to wait long and it had a nice atmosphere, would certainly go back do recommend.
