The two teens and I loved taking our time as we walked thru the museum! It was filled with classic movie collections, readings, wardrobe and all things cool! We loved the set ups and it was even more exciting as we walked down to the basement to see the classic horror films and horror movies sets! A bit creepy but it was meant to be! The whole feel of it is nostalgia and it was walking into the times that made Hollywood great! We’ve gone to thee museums in the area but this was our favorite for all the original items they have! We spent over two hours and love soaking it all in as we took many pictures! Some highlights besides the basement were the Scooby Doo van, the Rocky fighter robe, Pee Wee Herman Bike, Star Wars Vader, Happy Days, Lavern and Shirley , planet of the Apes and sooo much more!! You will not be disappointed by visiting this museum, it is conveniently located right on the strip and makes a great spotlight to the many things on the Hollywood area!

Forget the generic wax museums and commercialized gift shops of Hollywood Boulevard. If you want to experience the authentic magic, glamour, and underbelly of cinema history, you need to run—not walk—to the Hollywood Museum. This is the definitive crown jewel of Tinseltown attractions, offering an immersive, four-story journey through a century of entertainment.

The magic begins the moment you step up to the striking pink facade of the historic Max Factor Building. Inside, you are instantly transported to the Golden Age of cinema. Thisisn't a collection of replicas; it is a stunning, breathtaking labyrinth of more than 10,000 real showbiz treasures. Film buffs will marvel at the sheer scale of authentic costumes and screen-used props spanning silent films, classic Talkies, gritty Film Noir, and modern blockbusters.

The curation is masterfully unique. On the ground floor, you can explore MaxFactor's meticulously restored, world-famous makeup rooms—specially colour-coded by hair colour for icons like Marilyn Monroe and Judy Garland. It is a vibrant celebration of style and glamour. However, the museum's true stroke of genius lies in its staggering contrast. Descend the stairs into the basement, and you will find "The Dungeon of Doom." Here, the glamorous atmosphere shifts instantly into an unforgettable showcase of horror history, featuring the spine-chilling, screen-used jail cell block from The Silence of the Lambs.

The Hollywood Museum delivers an unparalleled sensory experience that seamlessly balances Hollywood's highest glitz with its dark pop-culture milestones. It is captivating, brilliantly curated, and deeply educational. For anyone seeking the real story of film history, this isn't just an attraction—it's an essential pilgrimage.

"My wife requested to come here for Mother's Day, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much is packed into this building! It wasn't crowded at all, which made it easy to explore the different floors. The 'spooky' floor in the basement was definitely a highlight—really cool setups and memorabilia. I honestly didn't expect to see so much history and variety here. I’ll definitely be visiting again and bringing friends along to check out this hidden gem."

I’ve been coming to this place for years and it never changes and only gets more endearing. One of the better icons of the Boulevard, and more fun than the overpriced Academy museum. Fans of Old Hollywood will dig the autograph collection. Come for the “Nothing is Sacred” dioramas, Stay for the beautiful bathrooms!

One of the best museums in the Hollywood area and it’s such a great price! We bought our tickets online. The person who checked us in was friendly and helpful explaining the museum and floors. Our favorite part was the dungeon with all of the horror memorabilia. We were especially amazed with the recreation of the Silence of the Lambs prison set for Hannibal Lecter. There was so much incredible stuff to see here. You can easily spent a couple hours here.

First of all, the design of the lobby, rooms, and courtyard is simply outstanding. It's so stylish! I was also happy to find a makeup-removing sheet. Drinks in the rooms are charged, but there is fruit water at the entrance, which gives it a resort feel. The free breakfast is fruit and croissants. They warmed the croissants up for me, and they were flaky and delicious. It's just a short walk to Hollywood's main street, making it convenient for sightseeing. I'd like to try other rooms as well.

The room is very unique, the aromatherapy may be a bit strong for me. The location is very good and close to various attractions in Hollywood. There were homeless people outside the door, but this is normal in the city, and I didn't feel unsafe coming back at night. In short, it is a hotel more suitable for young people.

It's a unique experience and worth staying. The only thing is that there is no elevator. You can only carry your suitcase up by yourself.

Quite unexpected, very nice hotel. The transportation is convenient and the service attitude is very good. The furnishings and furniture inside are very high-quality, and of course the prices are not cheap. Haha, there is a Chinese-speaking lady at the front desk.

The service was not that great and would not come back to an overpriced area. Too bad cause the food was not bad but when customer service is lacking I could always go somewhere else.

The food was served quickly, hot and utterly delicious. I kept it simple with spaghetti & meatballs while the others had chicken alfredo ... Everyone enjoyed #EVERYTHING

Absolutely the worst service I have ever had. 1 hour from ordering to receiving our food had to ask multiple times for refills of beverages and bread and never received any refills. I would NEVER recommend it to anyone I know.

Solid Italian cuisine! When you come to Hollywood, you don't come expecting to find actual quality food. But that's exactly what you find here at Trastevere. Having been to Italy and had authentic Italian pasta several times, I can attest to the fact that the Italian cuisine here is very fine quality and done the true Italian way. You can also tell it's authenticity by the fact that it's Italians running the place. I was so excited to have delicious bread with olive oil again while here!
I only give three stars, however, because the staff here is not very attentive. Slowest and most unhelpful server I have almost ever experienced. Took forever just to get water, never got refills unless I flagged someone down (that wasn't even the waiter) to get some, and took forever to get the food ordered and then to pay. Disappointed that the service did not match the quality of the food.

We got a neopolitan pastry to go and it was underwhelming. The frosting was extremely sweet and the pastry itself was not flaky. It was really difficult to cut off a piece.

The place was filthy, the chairs were all put away, and they refused to sell us anything because they were closing in 20 minutes.

Coffee awesome. Looking forward to try the slow bar on the next visit. They roast their beans at the back of the store. Staffs are always friendly.

I visited here from Colorado on 08/06. I love the tropical crepe they have. When I entered the cashier did not greet me nor my boyfriend but continued to count the money he had in his tip jar, after waiting 5 minutes he finally asked for our order, when I paid the cashier folded my receipt so I wouldn't put my OWN total and add a tip and placed a cup on top of it yeeeaah BS!! I unfolded it and wrote down my own total and tip THAN signed it! That was so sketchy to me! PLEASE MAKE SURE TO FILL IN YOUR TIP AND TOTAL BEFORE SIGNING!!! The lady that works there gave me the dirties look ever when I was eating I am not sure if it was because of what I did and they couldn't get away with it with me or maybe she just has an ugly attitude! Please be careful with these people don't let them rob you!!!!!!!!

My favorite French Crepe Co in CA. Stumbled upon this place the week they opened. Probably been 10 times since. Always a great experience. Excellent food. Service treats you like family. In the good way. Menu changes weekly and never disappoints. I'll keep going back.

The wife and I were pleasantly surprised. I had the La Sorbonne which is basically a crepe with bananas and chocolate syrup. The wife had the La Marie Antoinette which is a make your own crepe. She ordered turkey, tomatoes, avocados and Swiss cheese. It was excellent! I would highly recommend coming here.

Nice non-chain option. There is even table service with heaters in the colder weather. I had the smoked salmon crepe and it was very generous with the salmon. Also served with a mixed greens salad. Great service and menu options!
