Each room has its own unique design and style here, and the hotel is dog-friendly too! 🐶 There’s a fantastic restaurant located downstairs, and a phenomenal rooftop lounge/deck bar where you can enjoy a bite to eat while kicking back on a comfy day bed or sitting at the bar and viewing up at the Hollywood Hills!

Had an amazing time at Mama’s Shelter rooftop, my review is for drinks and dancing! The music was on point, great DJ, definitely fun vibes, and the drinks were really well-made. It does get pretty crowded on weekends, so service can feel a bit overwhelmed, but the atmosphere, decor, and views are great!! Can’t wait to come back and try their food next time!

I LOVE this hotel! Stayed for a week and the staff was wonderful. This is not your average hotel. You request housekeeping. I was there during a pandemic so no room service. But there is obviously a reason the rooftop bar has a line around the building every night. The food is fantastic! The atmosphere and vibe is definitely young and energetic. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Don’t stay here if you want a stuffy old-fashioned hotel. But if you’re in Hollywood for the adventure anyway, you won’t find a better home base to return to every night.

Great atmosphere with a mix of cultures.. Beautiful. People of all walks of life.. Hotel.. Big oval bar downstairs in the lobby.. With a restaurant. The rooftop is all talk with a great view.. Great food.. Romantic breathtaking 360 view of greater downtown LA and the surrounding city.. Awesome drinks.. Hot bartender Melissa 😍💞🙌👍 Along with other great bartenders to cater to your music needs.. For the groove too.. With such cool managers.. Can't wait to go back..

Rooftop views, trendy vibes, and cocktails that scream Hollywood. The rooms are quirky and fun, though a bit tight for the price. Service is solid, but the rooftop crowds can feel like a casting call. Still, it’s a great spot for Insta-worthy moments!

Great hotel. Kind of on the cut, easy to pass it. Valet was kind. No complaints. Staff was pretty nice. Security kept confusing my friend and I for roof goers for all the days we were there. Cleaning staff was also nice. Bar lady downstairs was nice as well.

I was in town for a concert and stayed 3 nights at Mama's.

From the write-ups and piecing together the different reviews it's difficult to wrap your brain around what you'll actually experience. Oddly, once you're there it all makes sense.

The entry is pretty simple, restaurant on one side, bar on another and the from desk just past the giant Foosball table (of course).

The rooms are on the smaller side, but clean and very well laid out. The sheets are very high quality and beds comfortable.

The rooftop bar is awesome. It can get crowded and rightfully so as on the weekends it's basically an open-air club with a great DJ.

They advertise repeatedly they include X-rated channels. I've decided that's basically just a filter. The vibe is inclusive and adult, but not in a creepy way. It's simply not ideal for kids.

I'd 100% stay here again.
