I spend approx 6 months of the year in hotels and motels for work and this may be the worst place I have stayed maybe ever. The room walls were dirty, there was no chair or desk, there was something on the pillow, a dead wasp on the floor. There must also be something unsavory going on because both nights I stayed there people came knocking on the door looking for someone. Would not consider staying there again and honestly wish I could get a refund.

Pros: this location is Prime location to Hollywood blvd and all the action, 7 min walk! It’s super convenient to get to major fast food restaurants within a 5 min walk! Super nice staff and very understanding! Cons: It was just my daughter and I and we went to Hollywood to celebrate her sweet 16 birthday on a “mommy and me road-trip” We had a bottom room with some sketchy characters around and it smelled like cigarette smoke. I told the office and they moved us upstairs immediately. They were extremely accommodating! All in all I would definitely go back again!

It had the basics for what you needed - bed, AC, bathroom. The towels and bed spread were coming apart and showed signs of abuse, but were functional. The location can’t be beat, especially for the price. I didn’t have any issues. The walls are thin.

Good air-conditioning walkable fast food restaurants and walking distance hollywood blvd, but poor room experience. If youre looking for a 1 night stay only thats good but more than 1 night go to other hotels or inns. They also asked for a $100 deposit.

There is a strong smell of smoking, although I booked non-smoking, then I guessed it could be from outside the room as it was almost most of the time. There was no toilet paper. There was only 1 not very clean towel. Then bed sheet looks like it was burnt or cut as it had multiple holes. It ok to stay here for 1 or 2 nights but no more.

Worst night ever! If possible, I would have rated my experience 0 stars. I know this is a cheap hotel, but I expected at least something decent. Here's a list of how it went despite the room recently been "cleaned":
- Blankets burnt/ripped and had some questionable stains
- Pillows were also stained and smelled like cigarettes
- The floor was sticky and burnt by some portable stove
- AC was beaten up (it worked, but there was some strange white powder near the vent)
- the windows faced a wall where pigeons nested
- Smallest bathroom ever! Couldn't even fit my legs straight when sitting on the toilet
- Random screaming in the middle of the night! I got scared because someone started banging on all of the doors
- Since it was barely "cleaned", the whole room smelled it was sprayed with the strongest Febreze yet somehow still had the scent of cigarettes. It made me dizzy and it took hours for the room to ventilate the smell away.

I then asked for a change of rooms, but they told us that it wasn't possible and only gave us a change of blankets and some towels. I only stayed for one night with my family, renting a total of 3 rooms, but it was the worst night of our trip!

Everything was bad from the sheets on the bed to the shower leaking toilet leaking. Everything was just terrible. Staff very unprofessional didn’t really care about any of the complaints. The place is not suited for people to stay. I deserve a refine.

This hotel was over-priced for the room. The bed was not the right size, the tv didnt work with the remote in the room rendering it unusable, the bathroom was unbelievably cramped to the extent i had to sit on the toilet sideways to not hit the wall in front of it, the floors had soft spots and were not level, the bathroom door wouldnt shut and hit the floor when open, the room door latch plate was missing screws and the door wouldn't shut on it's own as well as was hard to lock, the "parking lot" is suitable for a max of 4 cars safely and they painted in undersized spaces for 7, the bed cover blanket had stains as well as holes melted in it, the window-sills were stained, the shower curtain was too short and leaked all over the floor, overall this hotel stay cost 3 times what it was worth for 2 nights.

The only positive of this place is very close to the boulevard.....place is sufficient with clean rooms lacking a basic place to keep your clothes and a microwave oven. Bathrooms were clean and maintained.

I love coming here. When I was younger this was the spot to hang after a night on the town. Now that I have a kiddo. It's still the spot to hang and the company is much cooler.

I finished my fruity pancakes at 3:39 p.m and they were excellent. I got judgemental looks from two of the staff upon entering but otherwise they were polite and friendly and efficient.
Updated: Upon leaving my rewards coupon to pay for my meal three employees ran out of the store after me telling me I have to pay so obviously they didn't look at my payment method and presumed the worse of me.

Staff were lovely and very welcoming, the place is clean and has a fresh atmosphere. The blueberry pancakes that I got for breakfast and the pot off coffee was so good! Couldn't finish it all though, but I really tried

I have been going to IHOP on sunset and IHOP in West Hollywood for over 20 years. And the main reason is for the service. better yet the server, Robert. He is not only a great server whom is knowledgeable as well as personal. Robert makes the dinning experience worth the trip.

We were recommended to come here to try the breakfasts and were advised that the portions are insane in size.

Well one thing is for sure, there are so many options to choose from and the pancakes optional.

We found the server to be super friendly and the food came to us real quickly. Being from the UK, we opted for the smaller sized plates which were perfect and ensured that we didn't need to take a doggy bag.

My husband really rated the pancakes and the varieties of syrups that were on offer. I found the breakfast to be sufficient.

To be fair, it's not a place I would go out of my way to eat at again, as there are so many other options in Los Angeles, however we enjoyed our time here.

Ok, so obviously you come here for the jazz, but everything else was great too.
Parking is very convenient right behind the building and only $6.
We arrived at 7:15, waited in a short line and were seated quickly near the front.
Drink order was taken within 10 minutes. My boyfriend and I ordered the salmon, our friend had the mushroom ravioli.
The fish was grilled and perfect, we both asked for extra vegetables instead of rice and they were fine with that.
The music was phenomenal and it was a great evening.
I will definitely go back. ?????

0-stars for the food service. I had a horrendous experience with the manager of the Catalina Jazz Club recently. He ruined a night with one of my favorite artists. I had food that was appalling. I was not expecting much. I expected average food that would be overpriced. I am not a foodie; I am not a food snob. I have a high tolerance for food that is okay. My dinner was average (as expected). It was my dessert (carrot cake) that was appalling. I took half a bite and asked for them to take it back and for a refund. I have not asked for food to be returned and a refund in over 20 years. The waiter was not authorized to help me. The manager was called over. He questioned me and kept arguing with me. I asked him to please not to argue with me; not to question me. I am the customer and I found the product awful. He said, "I don't care. I will not refund it." Please ask your favorite artists not to perform there. We all deserve better.

Catalina Bar and Grill is a wonderful gem in Hollywood. We went there for several concerts including legendary soul singer Miki Howard. The ticket prices are decent for jazz shows. This is a wonderdul place to go on a date or to have a quiet intimate evening. Parking is adjacent to the building and is usually no more than $5. The food is okay, not amazing, but they have a fair selection of wines as well as a fly stocked bar. Good idea if you're looking for the old jazz club feel.

Music was awsome... Food was great and very overpriced... As for the service was awful and very slow... My Girlfriend and I were a few of the first there and to get the waiters attention my girlfriend had to ask and I was ignored the whole visit... for example we requested to have our glasses of water refilled the waiter brought her a glass and never refilled mine till she asked them again...
Go for the music not the service... it sucks..
