I'm so surprised by all the negative reviews for this place. I had a really nice stay and would call this a hidden gem in LA. The price is fantastic for what you're getting, but you have to expect the accommodations to reflect the price. The room was completely fine and I checked really carefully for any signs of bugs and there were none. I also checked for any signs of hidden cameras since I'm really careful about that kind of stuff. There was nothing out of the ordinary. The man at the front desk was nice and I was charged properly. It was a really nice stay and I'll probably be back again. The security of the property, the cleanliness, and the price really made it an awesome deal. If you're looking for a luxury hotel, this isn't it, but if you want a cheap safe and clean place, this hotel is great.

Stayed here during Pride weekend with my family and it was a great experience. It felt centric and I could walk to mostly everything down the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The front desk was helpful and made sure that we had a good experience. I stayed in the Suite with 1 single bed and 2 double beds - no ac but the fans and windows kept the room cool. They make this very clear from the start. It was also recently updated which was a plus. Would stay here again!

I've stayed here more than 5 months total. It is a decent hotel if you aren't too picky. The management is not rude as others have said. Usually it is the guests that are rude and demanding.
Things that could be improved:
It is difficult to keep the floor clean.
The room service / cleaning crew is barely ever around.
The room seems to fall apart very easily.
You can't take a bath unless you plug the drain yourself.
The air doesn't circulate very well unless your door is open.
The hallways are usually dirty
Fridge is too small

I am absolutely appalled by having to write this, but it needs to be said straight away.

Not long ago, a dear friend of mine went to a concert for the weekend and stayed at this exact hotel to relax. It shouldn't come as any surprise that someplace as good of a reputation as this shouldn't be bad, right?

Well, as it turns out, the room reeked something horrible and the bed they laid on was covered in filthy, filthy lice!! That is absolutely not okay!! Not only did this place have the nasty creatures scurrying on their sheets but the folk at the front desk were completely unmoved by it and held themselves unaccountable for such negligence.

The hotel manager was informed and he had avoided responsibility by claiming that the sheets weren't property of the hotel, and had refused to refund any credit to my friend! How absurd is that!

I can't believe that a place with a four star, positive rating through Google may I add, be so disrespectful and dirty. I am not at all pleased by their poor acts of service and refuse to visit here, ever.

So, in close, I think I may just step away from this hotel and take my money elsewhere. Ugh!

¿Do you know if the original face of the Hotel is still on? Or, do they are changing al the Hotel with a new look? THANKS.

Very easy to miss; rooms are okay service is great, and the parking lot is perfect for the size of the property

Did not visit the premises, but I was curious as it's said to be the site for the movie "Pretty Woman". Manager not friendly.

The management & the staff is very nice & helpful. It's a little older but, it's a very clean & quiet place. secured parking lot which is great! cool thing is that you have walking distance from Hollywood Walk of Fame, souvenir shops, Starbucks, other places to eat I totally like the fact that you could just walk from the motel. I'd recommend it & wouldn't mind to stay again. One more thing this is the motel where the last scene of Pretty woman which is upstairs .. Pretty neat.

This is a great hotel for the price. The manager seems a bit grumpy but is actually a very nice guy.

A bit shopworn but it is clean and quiet.

It was a very nice hotel. Rooms are beautiful.

Just go there for a steak & cocktail and the food is good. Not outstanding but certainly above acceptable and at a fair market price.

What is outstanding is ... the room, the history, the staff. Its a living museum of a by gone era. Its not a Universal installation. Its not an imagined recreation. It is the real deal.

What can you say about a classic old school Hollywood restaurant. Thursday is the only day you can get the pot pie and it's worth the trip. Served open face or upside down. Great wait staff great service great coffee. A must see for anyone from out of town or anyone that has not been there yet. Lunch time is really good because it is not all that crowded. Occasional movie stars bonus. Never know who you're going to sleep. Plenty of parking in the back easy rear entrance. Absolutely for Stars maybe five. Love it love it love it.

Eating here was an integral part of an all-too-brief Hollywood experience. Everything we ate was phenomenal, but the real treat was the overall dining experience. We were treated like absolute royalty by every staff member we encountered - but our server Johnny really made Musso’s shine. This self-proclaimed docent of the restaurant gave us a fascinating historical perspective, which helped us to appreciate Musso’s to the fullest. I have never felt so welcomed or well taken care of. Easily the best service of my life. I told Johnny that he is the Michael Jordan of the service industry. He loves what he does and it absolutely shows. I worked for 10 years in food service and I know a real pro when I see one. Such a fun dinner experience!

The best dirty martini I’ve ever had! Epic.

My friend had the avocado salad and said it was perfect. We had the escargot and it was great. My fiancée’s steak was perfect. Love the old school atmosphere. Our waiter was quite chipper and informative.

We will definitely be back!

Great service. Pricey but the portions were large and delicious. My mom had the seafood salad which was huge and loaded with seafood! I had the clam pasta which had at least a dozen clams or more and the white wine sauce was amazing. Would recommend. Make sure you get reservations as it's always busy.

A great place to have a party and hang out with friends. I celebrate my birthday last week and i really enjoy the food, specially the Irish nachos and the spoon cake!! the private room is a great place to reserve when you want to enjoy vip section with a few friends.

Held a corporate event here and it was lots of fun. The food was pretty decent and the drinks were great. The atmosphere was a lot of fun and overall it was a great experience.

Great service. Every person from the guy at the door to the bathroom attendant went out of their way to look you in the eye and treat you like a person. Never ignored by the bartenders. Awesome free live music on Wednesday nights. What a refreshing LA night spot.

The service was not that great and would not come back to an overpriced area. Too bad cause the food was not bad but when customer service is lacking I could always go somewhere else.
23.09.2017 Sherry
The food was served quickly, hot and utterly delicious. I kept it simple with spaghetti & meatballs while the others had chicken alfredo ... Everyone enjoyed #EVERYTHING
24.06.2017 Karen
Absolutely the worst service I have ever had. 1 hour from ordering to receiving our food had to ask multiple times for refills of beverages and bread and never received any refills. I would NEVER recommend it to anyone I know.
07.10.2016 Parker
Solid Italian cuisine! When you come to Hollywood, you don't come expecting to find actual quality food. But that's exactly what you find here at Trastevere. Having been to Italy and had authentic Italian pasta several times, I can attest to the fact that the Italian cuisine here is very fine quality and done the true Italian way. You can also tell it's authenticity by the fact that it's Italians running the place. I was so excited to have delicious bread with olive oil again while here!
I only give three stars, however, because the staff here is not very attentive. Slowest and most unhelpful server I have almost ever experienced. Took forever just to get water, never got refills unless I flagged someone down (that wasn't even the waiter) to get some, and took forever to get the food ordered and then to pay. Disappointed that the service did not match the quality of the food.
