Hollywood Inn Express North in Los Angeles

Not in a very good area and this place is in desperate need of a refurb, carpets very dirty and felt quite sticky when you walked on them. The apartment didn't smell good either. The only plus side they did refund our money for our stay, but wouldn’t advise anyone to book this place

I booked a room through Priceline from 1/17-1/20/2023 which I per paid $340.43. When making my reservations the agent assured me that they served continental breakfast. As this was part of my wife's birthday gift, I wanted our stay to be memorable. Upon arrival at the motel the check in staff told me they didn't serve continental breakfast but the did serve coffee in the lobby each morning. If the booking agent at Priceline had informed me with the correct information I would have chose a different hotel to accommodate my request for the continental breakfast. After about 2 hours I decided this wasn't a good hotel. I called Priceline to re book me at another hotel that could meet my expectations. They told me to talk to the hotel about the matter. After doing so they told me to talk to Priceline. What they offered me, if I left they would charge me for 3 days. What a rip off, at this point I was totally disappointment. I decided to stay. The bed felt like a box spring the pillows were just as hard, the room heater was so loud it would wake me up when it came on at night. We didn't get a good nights rest. It was so terrible I wish that we would have checked out. Oh the coffee they served was instant coffee in a packet and hot water from a dispenser in the lobby. Our rooms never got cleaned not once. We fell it was a total scam on Priceline's website they give Hollywood Inn Express North 4 stars. On GOOGLE THEY HAVE 2 STARS. I should have done my research about this motel, but I trusted Priceline's recommendations. Also during my stay they cleaned my carpet in the room can you believe it?, I couldn't tell any difference. We tried to make the best out of this occasion as it was my wife's birthday and this was not good. Stay away from this hotel you can do better!

I was told by Priceline booking agent they provided continental breakfast so I booked my stay from Tuesday to Friday. Upon arrival the check in clerk said they don't provide breakfast, but they serve coffee in the lobby every morning. After 2 hrs I called Priceline to rebook me at another hotel that provide conitential breakfast as the the booking agent had assured me of. It was my wife's birthday so I wanted our stay to be special. So Priceline called the Motel to work out the refund. What they offered me was, if I checked out they would only charge me for 3 days instead of 4 days. What a RIP off . So I decided to stay. The next morning they provided instant coffee and hot water from a dispenser in the lobby. Another disappointment. During the entire evening a small child was outside shotting a blank gun until about 11:00pm. It almost sounded like a real gun. The beds were so hard it felt like we were laying on a box spring, pillows felt just as bad. To make matters worse they had someone shampoo the carpets in our room very unprofessional and inconsiderate. They did not clean our room during our stay. The room heater was so loud it it would wake me up. We didn't get a restful night's sleep. This was the worst motel I ever been in. I wish we would have left the first day after checking in.. My wife asked for a lamp so she could put on on her make up as the lightning was dim. My body ached every morning it was so uncomfortable. We were misled, lied to and did not get what we paid for. Stay away from this place you can find a better motel that will help you create good memories during your stay.

The deal with this hotel is the location and having parking spot, but I feel doesn't match the money spent. For a little different you can find better worthwhile deals
