Hyatt Palm Springs in Palm Springs

This place was nice and I had good view of my surroundings during my visit to Palm Springs. It was a bit expensive for what it was, but what really got me was the wait time for my food. I don't mind paying a little more during my vacations when I choose to go out to eat, but this was simply ridiculous. I only ordered a club sandwich with chips and a beer. After nursing my first beer, I had another beer and thought to myself, 'is it just me? I wonder whats taking so long?' While I was looking around, I began noticing other patrons leaving because they weren't being tended to. The couple next to me left after claiming to have waited over 30 minutes for their food, leaving cash for their drinks. I would've followed suit and left too had I had some cash on hand, but nonetheless, I stayed and enjoyed the sights and sounds around me. 30 minutes later, I received a sandwich, not what I ordered, but would make do anyways. I'd like to note the server did notice it was incorrect after she put the plate in front of me, and offered to get me what I ordered, but I passed on it for fear that it would take another 30-60 minutes. I just wanted to eat what was in front of me and leave after being there for close to over an hour. It wasn't all that busy; no one was inside the establishment and I think I counted 3 other tables there with some people sprinkled around the bar. The fish sandwich and fries I had were cold...maybe they were understaffed that day? Who knows? All in all, crappy food, but good view and beer.

Nice place to sit and eat, food was not so good and service while polite was slow

The waitresses were very nice but they ran out of the menu item our party ordered so we had to change the order. Also, all the food came out separately. Service was very slow and the food didn't taste good.

Although the food is good, the customer service left me baffled. When we walked in no one greeted us, no one showed us to our seats, so we sat ourselves nobody brought us menus so I went over told the waitress got ourselves some menus nobody brought us water until it was time to order. I figured maybe there busy, hey it's ok it happens. So when a person gives a tip, I reflect on the experience I had did I feel taken care of, I gave what I thought was appropriate...the other girl did the same the other girl gave nothing...the waitress who never came to check on us, came out after us in front of anyone who was walking by shouting we forgot to tip I was humiliated...totally ruined our lunch. I thought one of us had forgotten to pay...it was completely unecessary. I'm a regular there unfortunately I don't think I will be back. I did call the manager to express my disappointment, and even he said tipping is optional, we are happy tippers we just didn't feel taken care of.
