Movie Colony Hotel - Adults Only in Palm Springs

Clean room, amazing staff. We will definitely be staying there again and highly recommended it.

Everything here was great. Parking was a little tough at times. But overall, I would stay here again anytime!

Yes, the room was clean. Standard amenities. Their grounds were well kept with a swimming pool and hot tub. It's a small hotel but very comfortable.

Beautiful, peaceful, and bohemian in the best sense. The lobby is very cool, with funky/mellow music playing each morning at breakfast. The rooms are well appointed with comfy furnishings and fresh linens. The showers are gorgeous! I would only recommend brighter lighting at the bathroom mirror. Also, the front desk didn't have any ideas about how to use the public transportation that is plentiful in Palm Springs. With the SunRide app, you can get a ride to many, many places for a few bucks, versus having to call a Lyft. It comes in handy because the closest place to buy food or toiletries is a mile away.

The place has a lot of character and charm that other Palm Springs boutique motels have.

Enjoyed the low-key vibe, the art deco style and history of the facility. A very cool place to stay. Not a ton of rooms, so it keeps it from being overcrowded and room in the pool and hot tub. Cool water on hand is a nice touch.
Would recommend for couples or friends, etc. , especially if you like low key and a cool vibe.

my first time staying at this hotel, and I am really glad I selected it. I had one of upstairs rooms, which featured very large, private balcony decks. If you need something, super relaxing, quiet, private and restful (which is what I really needed) I gladly recommend Movie Colony Hotel

A rocky start but an ok stay.
Checking into the MCH I was asked for a $50 deposit for incidentals, which is expected, I guess, even though this hotel has absolutely no service services that could possibly accrue incidentals. Anyway, the credit card machine I could see a tap so ask if I could use my phone to leave the deposit because I didn’t have my wallet with me. I had taken out my ID but had misplaced the credit card. As I’ve come to expect the answer was no, because for some reason, that’s the go to answer at hotels I have found lately. Anytime I make a request. It always seems like there’s never anything anybody can do. Except there is but they just don’t want to. Anyway, so I ask if I can leave cash which she agrees to but says that it will then be $100 instead of 50 plus there will be a 25.99 resort fee but the cheese is closing the front desk in the next five minutes so she wouldn’t be here and I should. I would have to check in at an adjacent hotel. Since I didn’t have my wallet I had to find a Bank of America so that I could tap my phone if you get the cash to pay for incidentals that were not even available. Just a huge hassle and for no reason other than to make things difficult then I could tell. We finally got checked in. The state was fine I guess. The grounds are a bit rundown, but the room was nice and clean. Breakfast in the lobby in the morning was more than the standard stale muffin and juice. It actually had quite a selection of cereals and pastries and stuff.
